@MBraedley You'll actually still be able to dial 7 digits until November. Right now dialing 7-digits will just give you a warning that you need to dial 10.
@FEichinger Nah, it's just about protecting some land to make it easier for Moose to do whatever it is Moose do, including moosing other moose to make baby moose.
Both items are great when they have some stacks, but when you buy them they have 0 stacks and are not really gold efficient.
Sword of the Occult is 30% gold efficient with no stacks. Its gold efficiency increases by 15% per stack, becoming gold efficient at five stacks and reaching 404.3% gold ...
@Sterno You know, as I was in the process of clicking it I thought "oh fuck, it's probably a rebecca black video", but it was too late. I already started the clicking motion. There was no going back.
There are a few hidden assumption in that (like that the amount of raising and failing will even out, that transaction fees are negligible and that you have essentially unlimited starting capital or alternatively can buy any part of a share, no matter how small), but otherwise ...
There are NO servers working AT ALL in minecraft. They say pinging for a while and then says can't connect to server. I tried going back to 1.7.9, nope. I tried to add a different server, nothing. The servers I'm trying to join are hypixel, Phanatic MC, and I also have a server of my own that isn...
I have loved my DS and taken good care of it for 5 years. Nintendo consoles are build to last, that's for sure. But a few minutes ago I was playing Animal Crossing: Wild World on a flashcard [trying to be very specific so I might be able to get help]. The screen started getting all scrambled and ...
I am thinking about getting a Mac Mini for doing some basic tasks like typing, video editing etc. The cheapest one with 4gb of RAM seems good enough to me, but how well will it run Minecraft? I use the 1.7.2 version mainly because a private server I frequent has not updated. I have heard mixed re...
Okay, so i read somewhere (cannot find the link at the moment) that Altair, Ezio and the Kenways (including Connor) are not directly related to each other except through Desmond. Is there any family tree or something to show how he is related to them? And if the Kenways are on Desmonds fathers si...
Well, first of all I haven't played RPG games for several years, so maybe now games like the ones I want are common, but it's good to ask.
I mean, although PC RPG games where nice to play I always had the feeling that I never was able to develop my characters and the story as I would really want...
Oh! so my first night the weekly Netrunner night was pretty radtastic.
It;s a weekly Fantasy flight Games night, but netrunner is the most popular game played.
A lot of great guys and gals there. Got to try out my new (and first) deck. I won two games, and came really close to winning a third with it actually. Was a good first night.
I can't wait until next week. I'll probably go earlier than the start time next week, because people actually start getting there up until an hour before.
@FEichinger I don't see anything wrong with some casting a close vote on something which is going to be deleted.
not everyone is completely familiar with how the site works, and some users might think it's quicker to get it closed than it is to get it deleted (likely due to not knowing how spam flags work).
@OrigamiRobot Yeah. Netrunner is the most popular FFG game in Halifax. I know X-WING is supposed to be popular too, but I didn't notice if anyone was there playing it last night. I was rather focused on netrunning though. There was a table of Game of Thrones the Card Game players though.
There were 14 people there for netrunner last night, with Game of Thrones LCG having 6 I think.
My zeus I hate clickbait titles. also people who click them. That cat opening doors video just showed up in my feed, from some clikcbait website with the header "He left his cat in front of the closed door. He never expected to catch this on camera!" Then why was he recording it?
@OrigamiRobot A coworker of mine is really into it, but doesn't really grab me. I looked into it a bit and it caught my interest, but that only lasted for about an hour.
I like the idea of it, but it looks like it might be alittle too lacking in tactics for atactical wargame for me.
I just can't get into other TCG/LCG games. Part of it is that I'm already invested (time, knowledge, and financial-wise) in MtG. The other part is I just don't find any particularly fun.
I only started looking around at other card games when I had the desire to get into one again, but didn't really feel like getting back into Magic. It's been years since I played, so I didn't feel any investment in it anymore.
Yeah, anarchs are far from OP (and are considered the weakest runner faction right now, due to a weak economy), but no reason to pick up another game to eat up your money.
I think the "resource management" is one of the worst parts of Magic. Having a random percentage of your games be stupid because you got no mana or lots of mana is dumb. Yes, I know you are going to say that you have to build your deck to help cope with those situations. It's still dumb.
You could modify Magic for that by allowing everyone to set up two basic lands of their choice on the board before the play begins, though that might need some rebalancing.
@StrixVaria You had your resource row and non-creature cards could still be played from that row and count as mana, but you couldn't cast creatures fromt hat row
@StrixVaria You might like the Game of Thrones Card Game then. From what I understand, the amount of gold you get to spend per turn (the resource) is determined by you via "Plot Cards." Basically you have a deck of 7 plot cards, and at the start of every turn you choose a card from the plot deck and use it to start your turn. The plot card determines various things about your turn, including the amount of gold you get to spend that turn.
It's more like having a second and special hand than another deck, since you always get to choose waht you want from it. There's no drawing or randomization aspect. once the deck runs out, you just put all the cards back in the deck.
@fredley They're not allow to decline care, so you either go to collections and make payments for the rest of your life or declare bankruptcy or something if you can't afford it.
Plus if you don't have insurance the price is lower.
@Frank You wind up paying more out of pocket due to not having insurance, but usually the hospital will cut you a break on the price because their prices are outrageous and they know it.
@Frank That's not how it works, though. The insurance companies talk to the hospitals beforehand and agree on a price that is different from the price that the patient sees. So even though the bill I got said $35k, my insurance company is not going to have to pay that full amount.
They don't wheel and deal every time someone makes a claim.
I think that the insurance company still writes it off as if they had spent $35k on me even though they didn't actually need to put out that much money.
@Frank "Looks how much money we saved you! Never cancel with us. Also, this is why public health care would be bad, becaus then all this would be coming from your taxes!"
Every time we have a conversation about American Bridge folks hospital experiences my opinion of your health care system becomes eve worse, and it's already really bad.
@Wipqozn Given the demographics of the people who oppose free access to abortions, I don't think that argument makes sense ... But then, a lot of "those people" make no sense to me.
