My previous ascension I ran into a primal at every boss between 100 and 145

the higher level the primal boss is, the more souls it gives

Was -awesome-... This time Ive only run into 3 and I am at 155 now :(

last primal I killed gave me 21 souls

maybe if I have a primal at 329, I'll screenshot it :P

also, I think bosses at x00 levels are guaranteed to be primal

you get achievs for them as well

Also, every zone has monsters with 1.15× the health of the previous zone, and they drop 1.15× the gold

For some reason, the bosses right before I am planning to ascend are never primal

Incidentally, this means that beyond this given point, your gold per minute is only affected by how frequently you waste that 1 second between enemies as each plays their death animation

@badp the gold, I think, is calculated from the monster health

...also, your actual damage per second.

@badp well, if one increases by 15% and the other is calculated off of the first one, then they both increase by 15%

Actually for zone 1 there's also the part that 99.99999999% of your 1/40th-of-a-second damage tick is wasted

as long as you're not killing the mobs in under 5 seconds, the death animation doesn't cut into your profit that much

Even without death animations you couldn't kill more than 40 enemies a second

(okay -- 60, plus 20 bonus ticks)

I have very incomplete data because at this point in the game it's hard to fill in the data, but this is what I have:

If I interpolate the missing pieces it's basically the same from zone 150 onwards

(btw if you were going through slowly enough through those stages of the game, filling in the holes would be tremendously helpful)

But we basically agree that you want to double the effectiveness of the 7th skill, the one that +200%s your damage (so it will +400% it)

@James there's not really many bonuses

I'm not aware of something that affects the health of a given zone's area

as for idle gold bonuses, you're probably going to want to normalize that, yeah :)

would reproccing the double bring it up to 600?

The re-proc only works on the Last skill you used

right, but couldn't you do something like 839312456

and by dfault you have to use the doubling then the skill you want to double so the re-proc would only reset the skill you doubled, removing the doubling of it

it doesn't use your souls until you choose 1

and you don't have to choose one right away either, you can look at them and go back to idling or whatever

A new tab popped up with an icon of a pyramid with an eye. The only option here is a button that says "Summon Ancient". The mouseover text says it costs a hero soul and talks about picking between 4 random Ancients. What do Ancients do? When would be the best time to Summon one?

Its at times better to use all new hero souls on ancients just so you dont feel the horrible loss of using them up after having gotten use to em :D
