Ok

@quartata I think lynn already posted the source some time ago, cannot find it righ tnow

____
####
They really are

@orlp I was wondering how long it would take for someone to make this
Hmm, that could actually be used as a mutation engine
eh, not really actually
@flawr that's terrible

@quartata You assume that. Of course I've used things other than windows.

10:05 PM
I swear like four people in here have asked :D
@quartata It’s this!

@Lynn Perhaps you should add a FAQ in your profile :D

@Lynn cool
@flawr hahaha
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ liek

@quartata mac, and for some time something not windows nor mac. I assume it was linux or something

10:35 PM
@Bálint to solve the global scoping you could just wrap it all in an iife
(Immediately Invoked Function Expression)

also, python does global scope stuff to >_<

generally python is not run in a browser

so i don't see how that applies

global scopign stuff

10:39 PM
why do you have parens around player.y
It might be worth having a map of integer to map element if for no other reason than to make the code more maintainable and easier to read
since currently you have a bunch of magic numbers
Docstrings are always nice

@Quill you there?

NPath complexity of drawMap might be a bit high.. it gets pretty nested. You might consider breaking some of that out into a helper function

10:58 PM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ no it doesn't
only if you want to read global values
if you want to define or write to, it makes a local one

Applying for a passport is literally the most stressful thing that has ever happened to me.
It took me the entire week, cause every time I went in, they complained I was missing one tiny details.

anyone here familiar with browserify
it is borked

Hi

hi

11:13 PM
Helluuuu
I'm Helka Homba

@Optimizer you are?

yup. see the starred message. starred message has to be true, right?
@DrGreenEggsandIronMan already done.

@DrGreenEggsandIronMan Just had to reapply for mine too. It wasn't terribly painful since I really really overprepared but it took me two visits since the first time I forgot I needed a check or money order

its a 10 min job here for reapply

@Optimizer goddammit. I can't even see the starboard.

11:22 PM
@Upgoat what did you do?

idk browserify just isn't working ;_;
I'm trying to compile Cheddar so I can run it in the browser
and nothing works ;_;

cheddar infection is spreading

its already affected js :P

ummm

@Upgoat not on cloud9? did you make a new workspace?

11:26 PM
cloud9 goes to sleepy sleep after a few days
i could put it on vps but i dont to be hackd
wait no cheddar is sandboxed

wut

@Quill is there a way to run a function where if it errors everything won't break

where are you getting a browser ready

e.g. the server stays running
thats frontend

@Upgoat try { someFunc() } catch { /* error handling */ }

11:29 PM
@Upgoat try catch?

oh yeah.... :|
should it be REST or WS?

@Upgoat omg that color combination
plz that green...

@Maltysen >_> pls reccomend better colors
@Maltysen ik gaot is pro hakr

On a side note @Upgoat, there's a node module called Forever that lets you reboot node calls and come back from errors

nah #trycatchmasterrace

11:30 PM
@Upgoat change the green to white

ok

I use forever with my chatbots @Upgoat, because it lets you git pull and reboot the solution

@Quill I don't know Forever though >_> I also don't wanna release the source for the backend cause that'll make it easier for hackers to make an attack
though if I use heroku I won't have that problem...

Q: Why does my triangle not display after being transformed by glm::lookAt matrix?

Ashwin GuptaI'm trying to display my triangle from different camera viewpoints. To do this, I'm using the glm::lookAt() function which creates a 4x4 matrix that you can use to transform your points. This seems to be working fine and as intended when I specify a camera position (arg1) where x, y, and z are all <

so lost :(
OpenGL does nothing but make my brain hurt. Like a lot.
Oh @Upgoat I saw your blog, its neat. I liked your article about JS Symbols

what's your issue?
i did a little opengl before

11:39 PM
20 messages moved to Cheddar

oh that was your question

yeah
xD.
I've got regular transformation matricies working
I wrote this program of a cube that spins around
but I can't get lookAt() to work.
for that I just used glm::rotate() to generate a roation matrix.

@Dennis Can you pull MATL when you have time?
@aditsu Very nice!!

@LuisMendo Done.

@Dennis Thanks! BTW, what was the problem with your "alternating sign matrix" MATL answer? It seems to work for all test cases

11:54 PM
It did, but Sp3000 added two more test cases later. There was a fatal flaw in my approach that affected three of my answers...

> Meanwhile, India is just blown away that you can get Britain to leave by just voting

@Maltysen well, I tried adding a "projection" matrix, it displays now, problem is I dont get the projection matrix xD
ofc, I don't get matricies at all because I really haven't learned about them in my math classes so yeah I suppose this was bound to happen LOL
