11:00 PM
^ VSL is basically Cheddar but with actual planning
@ASCII-only will add

And actual development stagnation

@Downgoat Why not just port to python
So much easier

ಠ_ಠ

python is not good language for something like cheddar

11:01 PM
Yeah, Cheddar need to be written in Brainfuck .__________.

.____.

IMO it's port to Python or no integration

we can use FFI

11:02 PM
i can't c9 ;____________;

It's called a kukri iirc

Oh yeah we can just use fatal familial insomnia :P

@ASCII-only 14/10

o_O

joke of the day
@Zacharee1 ?_?

11:03 PM
FFI?

(That's how IRB render a disaproval face)

@TuxCopter wait wat ;______;

@Zacharee1 Foreign Function Interface

why are we talking about FFI

how to collab on code then?

11:03 PM
@Downgoat it ask me for credit card number

:|
you login with github?

@Downgoat Floobits

there is no way to say no?
oh

Still ask me creditcard number

c9 changed it yeah

11:04 PM
It's spam prevention xD

Yeah ever since like july 15

@ASCII-only only neovim or emacs (Ugh emacs)

@ASCII-only ;_; Geobit hyjack ur account ಠ_ಠ

Neovom is good though

And neovim no like windows

11:05 PM
Then use Sublime

I switched from Sublime to vim ...

@ASCII-only Why not just add VSL's features to Cheddar? Why are you even bothering with Cheddar if that's what you have decided?

Cheddar needs a complete rewrite

maybe we can try code anywhere

Yeah we can make VSL as Cheddar 2.0

11:06 PM
it looks similar
@ASCII-only i.e. VSL

It seems like you guys have split all this development focus across all these different things

So more consistency plus C++ so faster

@TuxCopter It's gotten better

lolwut
I signed up with GH to CodeAnywhere and I got a 404
a 500 and a 404

@quartata Yeah, Cheddar is more a hobby project, it's complete enough (useful to test features - if we see something that turns out to be not a good idea we can just exclude it from VSL, if a feature works really well we can include it in VSL)

11:08 PM
;____: how come everything bork for penguin
@quartata cheddar is also for programming conversation topic and someting hopefully colledge will think is cool

y technology hæt me ;___;

@TuxCopter :O use of æ is genius +1

:D

@Downgoat That's fair actually

also nobody's working on VSL atm, I'm trying to fix the bison grammar

11:10 PM
Yeah the VSL repo is totally inactive

^^ C++ is hard when you've only made nothing in it

I never used C++ before ._.

i tri maek brianflkac in C++ but major bork

.__________.

@TuxCopter XD lmfao

11:14 PM
@Downgoat Oh can you C9?
We need like really fast brainflak

brb writing brainflak in rust
You will have rusted very fast Brainflak :O

ok I found a website called "Koding" maybe this will work

does it support vim?

Yes because it uses c9's ace :D

:D
So now someone need to create a tæm

11:21 PM
ok i created team but I need to setup a stack rn
its installing on my server as we speak :D

\o/
Damn my avatar look like magenta's avatar

hi guys

btw, I'll need your email to send you an invite
here's my public key so you can encrypt it:
ssh-rsa AAAAB3NzaC1yc2EAAAADAQABAAABAQCdHdOyTztqHt+njeV1l4n7GTVc/CCx+l+lt+6l9uPAZJ9pu5BCPP+5YQnyHnuTcJLMLOWuC2yCaPp1f2mxSWrJmMFSj5nE2oUJ8e3YzTNe6EA4n0G56pfBF+aWbxm6nJuc3L3BwOuMnxjmepogkXRrw104wXbwTRpYXgFHtFLEHgqcfJtc7aHFLlyhaLmZSaXHkrZBD812qdLdVQ5otzDj9WQBuiAmThuW7p0Dy8tJgedh5Bn11HggQ4Y7YdHPaKDh3eqp68NXU1y+6uuBQqPLLhHIcHo50Gn68n7aIFIY+kj256pNy9bVyGKK3FCYbIHgwbfQzhg1chyAG7+2G4Bb vihan@Vihans-MacBook.local

;_;

If I wanted to make a challenge that was would I just tag it as and or should I make a new tag? and should I ask this on the meta?

11:25 PM
I would just tag both
Wouldn't hurt to ask in the sandbox though

and the more important question: if I made the tag would it be or ?

My browser just died ;_;
How do I encrypt RSA?

Probably atomic-meta-golf, but like I said, I think just using the two is fine.

Does anyone know how to add an alpha channel to a PNG in ImageMagick? Neither -alpha on, -alpha set, or -alpha activate worked.

Speaking of the sandbox, does anyone have thoughts on this challenge, especially in relation to Martin's comment?

11:29 PM
koding is cool
so apparently i can host my own VM
and it's jstu interface for that

Halp IDK how to encrypt RSA

@TuxCopter why don't you just email your email to me: contact@vihan.org

The Halloween Google Doodle is a hell of a lot of fun.

ok

And impressive too
@TuxCopter man openssl

11:32 PM
»  man openssl
bash: man: command not found
Cygwin bro

openssl rsa -h

@Downgoat Sended e-mail

got it

The iSmell or iSmell Personal Scent Synthesizer was a computer peripheral device developed by DigiScents in 2001. The prototype connected to a personal computer via USB or serial port and was designed to emit a smell when a user visited a web site or opened an email. The device contained a cartridge with 128 "primary odors" which could be mixed to replicate natural and man-made odors. DigiScents had indexed thousands of common odors, which could be coded, digitized, and embedded into web pages or email. In 2006, the iSmell was named one of the "25 Worst Tech Products of All Time" by PC World Magazine...
Who though this would be a good idea.

hahahahahahahaha
@mınxomaτ Do you have any ImageMagick experience?

11:37 PM
None whatsoever

Darn.

What are you trying to do anyway?

Add alpha to these pngs.
-alpha on -alpha set and -alpha activate didn't work.
At least assuming I'm not being lied to. I used identify -format "%[channels]" to tell whether or not they had the channels
It worked for the original image with alpha so I assume it's correct.

Wait, why do you even have PNGs without alpha?

I took them from Paint a Starry Night. I guess golfers don't bother with alpha.

11:40 PM
Why not download the original? Or are you using their outputs?

I'm comparing their outputs to the original used in the challenge. The original has alpha while only one of the three outputs I'm testing has alpha.
I think it's yours actually haha
Yep, yours.

You could use a GIMP batch convert if it's a one-off task.

@Downgoat :)

I'll probably be automating it in the future.

(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
/me hate windows
@Downgoat Can't use Koding, yay

11:44 PM
Use WSL.

No internet connection in WSL

:O :O :O It hink snapchat has goat filter :D

Then you should report that as a bug.

@TuxCopter yea same :/
trying ot find alternative

@TuxCopter Cygwin does not have sudo?

11:46 PM
I don't use Cygwin
I use some ugly mix of MSYS and Git Bash

@Downgoat I didn't know you used Windows..?
@TuxCopter Ouch.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@quartata no i have debain but bork

debain?

@quartata does -channel rgba -alpha set do anything?

11:48 PM
@Zacharee1 debᴥ
(Letter ayin)
(Yes, wise use of UNICODE)

@ASCII-only No.

but it's Debian isn't it?

@quartata What does it do? What did you use to verify the result?

@mınxomaτ identify -format "%[channels]"
It modifies the file (verified with diff) but does not add the channel
It's still srgb

'nait

11:51 PM
@LuisMendo There's a couple restrictions I can think of, which is that there's a limit on what the function's derivative(s) can be, for a certain number of coin flips.

#englishgolf

Final level of the doodle, wish me luck
Wow, that was way easier than the other levels.
88,560 was my final score I have no idea if that's any good

CMC: write some python code that takes a number via STDIN and using that number only once (i.e. no variable assignment or interpolation) outputs whether or not that number is divisible by 3 but not 4.

-1
Q: from another string? Is this string rotated

OliverGiven two strings, determine if the second string is rotated from the first string, and print a truthy or falsey value accordingly. Test cases "Hello world", " worldHello" -> True "abcdefg", "gfedcba" -> False "Oliver", "Oiler V" -> False "typo", "ypot" -> True "MtlqI", "lqIMt" -> True "J", "VJ...

@WheatWizard Golfed?

11:56 PM

Or efficient

@quartata Golfed
Oh and passing the number into a function you define counts as variable assignment

Python 2 or 3?

@quartata Lets go with 2
