12:01 AM
I checked Home Depot Canada and their set is 1 bit less than Canadian Tires. But surprising Lowes Canada has lots of options: lowes.ca/search/security-torx.html?iterm=security-torx

@WinEunuuchs2Unix That company is based in my hometown, as a matter of fact.

Home Depot or Lowes?

iFixit.

Oh that's cool... You should apply for an IT job there :)

Already have a job.
and so far, i am happy with it.

12:04 AM
Me too but I'm applying to get a Windows Report Writer job at the company I work in the warehouse at now.
Glad you are happy where you are at. you are lucky!

@NathanOsman alright, I started using branches, not sure if I'm overdoing them now haha

@NathanOsman This 10 piece set from Lowes at $22 CDN including shipping has sizes: TT7, TT8, TT9, TT10, TT15, TT20, TT25, TT27, TT30, TT40 so we are getting very close now :) :lowes.ca/drill-accessories/…

@NathanOsman Everyone is pinging you, so I should too.

Lol.
Heading to Canadian Tire right now to check it out.

12:18 AM
Have fun at Canucklehead Tire :)
I'm too brain-dead to think of what to make/get for supper. Any meal suggestions out there?

Pizza?

pls

No hung over so bad I still need to sober up before I can begin my beer drinking regime tonight. Had pizza last night at Shanks Sports Bar and have no appetite for that meal again.
Also had roast lamb with rice, potatoes and greek salad for lunch today at mall so that'll be ruled off the menu too.
I haven't made spaghetti, stew or roast beef since 2003 I think so they are starting to sound appealing... albeit perhaps a little too much work for a night like this!
Eww on Keiser Report they are showing the extraction of a 6 foot tapeworm from a man's stomach via his mouth and equating it (the tapeworm) to Jamie Dimon of Citibank and the US Federal Reserve's discount window. Now I don't want supper anymore :(

12:43 AM
Find a T9 on sale for $11.
So it looks like I just need the TR6.
They even had one with a T6 but not with the security hole.

what's this T stuff?

Can't you use a drill and make the hole yourself?
1 hour ago, by Nathan Osman
Me: I need a TR6 screwdriver Friend: why? Me: To open a Mac Mini (circa 2014) Friend: ew - use a saw 👍

lol

(here: "friend" == me)

@ByteCommander I don't have a drill that can make a hole that size.
Do you realize how small the bit is?

12:50 AM
@Zacharee1 T is for torx screw driver.
I still wonder if you can buy the lowes set with TT7, TT8, TT9, TT10... security bits and hammer the bit into the screw head. It feels like it might work but I wouldn't bet on it.
^^^ I guess TR stands for Torx SecuRity and TT stands for Torx Tamper-proof.

hue

@Serg Hello out there in the Ukraine
@Fabby I always wanted to meet a Vorlon
Quick question... how can I save a transcript of the previous 5 hours of chat?

I decided on Mary Brown's chicken for supper but I'm too lazy to go out tonight so I'll have it tomorrow night. Campells Chunky soup out of cupboard for tonight :)
@gracious1 Good question, don't know.
Um copy and paste>?

1:06 AM
@gracious1 you want the bookmark feature.
I'm on mobile though so I can't remember what to click.

Good ole Nathan that seems to know almost everything :)

Thanks I kind of figured out how to get to the part I wanted to retrieve. Saved it as PDF.

You can blackmail me with it next week :p

Verizon is buying Yahoo?
riperoni

That idea has been floated for a few months now. But they weren't buying the Alibaba shares in the original idea.

1:09 AM
wat

@Zacharee1 That is a scary thought.

yup
VZ and ATT are working their ways back to monopoly

If we get to control the monopoly it won't be as bad as the old days.

Then all they have to do is merge, and we have Ma Bell back.

"Ma bell" has a nice "ring" to it...haha

1:10 AM
Who owns Bell Labs?

ATT
Verizon Wireless used to be AirTouch which used to be Pacific Telesis which used to be AT&T

So everything will be just as it was before the 1980s. Makes you wonder what the whole point of it was....

anyone remember cingular?

well it allowed for T-Mobile and Sprint @gracious1

good seguay... cingular... as they were floating "circular" ownership :)

1:12 AM
@Seth that's just AT&T now

I remember when New York Telephone became Bell Atlantic

@WinEunuuchs2Unix segue?

Then that became something else... I think Genuity came in there for a while.

@Zacharee1 case in point

"seg way"?

1:12 AM
Then eventually it all merged in Verizon anyway.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix it's French: segue
Verizon's predecessor is AT&T

spelling criticisms are unfair in chat where I don't get my regular 2 hours to spell check a paragraph!

the two biggest competitors are one and the same
@WinEunuuchs2Unix no

Yes, but right after the break there were lots more Baby Bells, including New York Telephone.
Which merged with Bell Atlantic, and on up the food chain.

@gracious1 roomâ–¼ (above the userlist) -> create new bookmark. Then save that page as an HTML file.

1:14 AM
@Zacharee1 @Zacharee1 Yes they are unfair and stop pinging my sub-woofer when I have sound jacked up to compensate for low volume of "Passengers" sci-fi movie I'm watching.

Okay, thanks @Seth.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix hellu

grrr.... tyrant!

@WinEunuuchs2Unix get a real copy :P

@WinEunuuchs2Unix wat

1:14 AM
seriously though, turn sound off in this tab. problem solved.

@Seth This si a real copy with Japenese sub-titles :p

huehuehue

I could setup pulse audio to turn down the volume in this room though... hmm could be a good question in mainboard.
although it would have to be based on chrome tab and pulse audio might only do it for all chrome apps.... hmmm maybe that would be a google mod request... interesting.

solved it... right click on this chat room tab and select "mute"... someone @Zacharee1 @Seth ping me so I can see if I can't hear you anymore :p

1:21 AM
@WinEunuuchs2Unix plas

happy dance! hue hue HUEY it works :)

After running sudo apt-get update, I got this error: W: Ignoring Provides line with DepCompareOp for package libreoffice-l10n
What does this mean?
Maybe I should make this a question on the site?

I see. When the man says, "You must reinstall LibreOffice" -- won't that give me 5.3, which started the whole problem? How would I make sure to get 5.2? (Maybe I should ask that as a comment)
Wait, what is the syntax for the command to remove a particular repository?

Install 5.2 and mark the package as held at that version so it's not automatically updated again.

1:28 AM
@WinEunuuchs2Unix chromium and pulseaudio support that out of the box

SSD has been bought.

Simply click on "Sound Settings" and switch to the "Applications" tab.

What panel is that Byte, ie where to access it?

Now all I need is that TR6!

@gracious1 add-apt-repository -r

1:30 AM
got it thanks I'll try it.

@NathanOsman rip moniez

System settings > Sound -- or -- sound indicator > sound settings

@Zacharee1 it was a good price and I haz gift cards.

hue

I only get one optoin "Chrome" which controls this room I want turned down plug the movie on another tab I don't want turned down. Muting this chat room tab is only solution so far in Chrome.

1:31 AM
It lists all tabs that are actively playing music.

RIP moniez is for the screwdriver.

If a tab stops playing or is muted, it will disappear there.

I'm using Chrome not Chromium. This chat room doesn't play music it only has pings which are annoying.

Should be the same.
But as I said, it only lists tabs that are currently outputting sound

1:33 AM
/shrug

Thanks.

I have a conundrum

Also it's a movie I'm watching, however I have two other tabs with sound - Al Jazeera HTML and Russia Today Flashplayer. THey are paused though while movie is playing.

I'm bored but I don't wanna do homework

@Zachar I think they a cream for that now.

1:34 AM
hue

Go buy a TR6 screwdriver or drill @Zacharee1 sounds like fun :)

nah

I just wonder why I have those speech-dispatcher instances listed... No idea what they are or where they come from.

@ByteCommander just the NSA. nothing to be worried about ;p

The NSA is here to protect us from ourselves!!! HUE

1:36 AM
no, for real.

what's the speech-dispatcher name in ps -aux I want to see if I have them too now.

$ pgrep -fa speech-dispatcher
9262 /usr/lib/speech-dispatcher-modules/sd_generic /etc/speech-dispatcher/modules/generic.conf
9265 /usr/lib/speech-dispatcher-modules/sd_cicero /etc/speech-dispatcher/modules/cicero.conf
9269 /usr/lib/speech-dispatcher-modules/sd_espeak /etc/speech-dispatcher/modules/espeak.conf
9274 /usr/lib/speech-dispatcher-modules/sd_dummy /etc/speech-dispatcher/modules/dummy.conf
9277 /usr/bin/speech-dispatcher --spawn --communication-method unix_socket --socket-path /run/user/1000/speech-dispatcher/speechd.sock

I got nothing returned with that command... NSA loves you more than they do me sigh

I could live without that kind of love...

@gracious1 I'm in Denver, Colorado, lol

1:40 AM
@Serg LOL. I guess Fabby is not really a Vorlon, then ;-)

Do you have any voice applications loaded @ByteCommander like "google voice"?

Who knows,lol

Not really...

@ByteCommander grep through /var/lib/dpkg/info/ folder, and see what package it came from

Also there are limitied human applications like text to speech readers that might use a name like "speech-dispatcher"?

1:44 AM
@ByteCommander on board or orca screen reader might be candidates

When I tried to re-install libreoffice it wouldn't because of broken dependencies. My first question is, if I want to re-install LibreOffice, what specific package do I need. I am guessing sudo apt-get install libreoffice is not sufficient.

what about apt-get purge first?

$ apt rdepends speech-dispatcher --installed
speech-dispatcher
Reverse Depends:
  Breaks: speech-dispatcher-audio-plugins (<< 0.8-1)
  Recommends: ubuntu-desktop
  Replaces: speech-dispatcher-audio-plugins (<< 0.8-1)
  Depends: gnome-orca (>= 0.8)

@ByteCommander i called it, orca

1:46 AM
@WinEunuuchs2Unix not a good idea. iirc, unity depends on libreoffice

sorry didn't know that... my bad as they say in Singapore.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix not really, seen that already.

sorry Byte, was worth a try :)

thanks anyway :)

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I did the purges.

1:48 AM
late enough, see you another day

@gracious1 Uh-oh... bad idea according to @Serg

@WinEunuuchs2Unix Purging LibreOffice = bad idea? Uh-oh, I already did it. :(

Nothing broke?
I mean you are still here :)

Yup. Nothing broke so far!

Well next step is to locate Libre Office 5.2 and install it. After that freeze the package at that version.

1:51 AM
Ok. Hmm....

2:02 AM
@WinEunuuchs2Unix Okay, installed LibreOffice 5.2.5. How do you freeze a package at a particular version?

Oh that's easy... but let me find the 500 up-voted Q&A that states how professionally instead of my bumbling methods.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix Thanks.

@gracious1 My pleasure... You might want to consider writing all this up as a Question and Answer so others can benefit from your experience :)

@WinEunuuchs2Unix It isn't clear to me, however, what is the name of the package I need to use for the apt command to hold.
I downloaded the deb package and extracted it, since using apt-get didn't work. But I normally use apt-get, so I'd like to make sure it doesn't try to update LibreOffice.

Use apt-get to list the installed version of Libre Office and that is the package to put on hold.

2:10 AM
Well, how would I work this up as a question because basically it comes from trying to do the solution offered in another question.
@WinEunuuchs2Unix What is that specifice command

I don't know... I've been drinking a beer and watching a movie and not really paying attention!

ok

hang on...let me search how to list libre office installed version.

Okay, for now I just did sudo apt-mark hold libreoffice*

TR6 screwdriver is on order.
We'll see how quickly Amazon can get it to me.

2:18 AM
@gracious1 we might need the pros like @NathanOsman on this one because there are too many libre-office packages to know the right one: $ apt list --installed | grep libre

WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Use with caution in scripts.

libdjvulibre-text/xenial,xenial,now 3.5.27.1-5 all [installed]
libdjvulibre21/xenial,now 3.5.27.1-5 amd64 [installed]
libreadline5/xenial,now 5.2+dfsg-3build1 amd64 [installed]
libreadline6/xenial,now 6.3-8ubuntu2 amd64 [installed]
libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer/xenial-updates,xenial-security,now 1:5.1.4-0ubuntu1 amd64 [installed]
The trick is to find the top level Libre-Office package that will override all the rest... Don't do an update until we find that out.

2:34 AM
Have you guys seen these Novell linux ads? They're pretty funny (and old, but still):

@WinEunuuchs2Unix here's the command to install the suite:
sudo apt install libreoffice
(libreoffice is a metapackage that installs everything.)

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I stuck my neck out and wrote up an answer. If there is anything I need to change, or if you think I should delete it, please tell me!!!

@NathanOsman Thanks Nathan but he's installed Libre office 5.2.5 and now just wants to hold it at that version.

I think I need a little help with formatting.

Oh there are plenty of points-chasers that love editing questions at 2 points an edit :)

2:41 AM
Also one thing I noticed, after installing, I can't run libreoffice from the command line (says I need to install libreoffice-common) but I can run it from ClassicMenu Indicator which I have installed.
Please tell me what you think of this answer.

A: apt spewing warnings after libreoffice update

gracious1I want to provide a little more detail and amplify Ophilon's answer. Remove the current ppa for LibreOffice `sudo apt-get-repository --remove ppa:libreoffice/ppa Add the older respoistory (5.2) sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-5-2 Purge LibreOffice sudo apt-get remove --pu...

Anyone used Phoenix OS. Quite impressed. It is what Ubuntu should be in my opinion with a couple quirks.

I left out any mention of freezing the version, since I am not sure what unintended effects sudo apt-mark hold libreoffice* might have.

I think libreoffice by itself isn't enough you need to put in version number. But I'm not sure.

2:57 AM
okay
@WinEunuuchs2Unix Okay, I can continue to use ClassicMenu Indicator to launch LibreOffice in the meantime

@chaskes done :)
@gracious1 Sorry movie "Passengers" was in final section and I was distracted and slow to respond.
On your apt-get hold try "libreoffice-5-2".
I think the formatting is fine :)

3:17 AM
@chaskes done

thx all

@William Ubuntu is based on Linux so it can't be a Phoenix OS which is based on Android.

Sigh.
Now KVM won't play nice with the InstallSierra ISO file I have.
Boot failed: Could not read from CDROM (code 0005)
ESXi didn't have any problems with it...

3:34 AM
Wow. Guys, I need a reality check.

https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/5rz0qy/guys_i_need_a_reality_check/

@Seth just because he can spell the words of some tech stuff doesn't mean he's a leader in the field.
leaders get a few hundred dollars an hour.

@Seth At least he asked.

@edwinksl omg look at the comment trail. askubuntu.com/questions/879968/thinkpad-t410-buttons

lol what is even going on

@JourneymanGeek I guess. He's really getting screwed over though.

3:41 AM
@Seth I had a place offer me shift work as a sysop for 1800 a month
they don't seem to be able to fill that role, and tried to use pressure tactics ...
"We're renegotiating with the client, and they want it cheaper"

@edwinksl Lenovo no longer makes the pdf available online for the T410/420, etc. When I needed to add memory to my T420, I googled it and read it online at the site in question with no scams. I don't know why he can't or why he gave someone a credit card number.

right... i am not sure what nice things i can say about giving away credit card number

You need manuals for taking apart thinkpads? 0_0

Okay, thanks. Right now I have sudo apt-mark hold libreoffice* just to be safe. And I went in and fixed the formatting myself. But it didn't work as expected. Ctrl-K didn't work; I had to use tickmarks.
BTW, how do you format so that you can make, for example, Ctrl look like a key on a keyboard?

also, OT?

3:46 AM
@JourneymanGeek Well, the access door on the back only had one memory slot. I needed the manual to know that the other one is under the touchpad/keyboard, so yes. And minimum screw, connection removal, etc.

@gracious1 on the main site? <kbd> tags

Thanks!

@chaskes the imahes cover that in theory the main memory slot isn't meant to be added to... least on newer models

That doesn't work in chat?

Yes, OT. Please get rid of the question. askubuntu.com/questions/879968/thinkpad-t410-buttons
This was how you do it on the T420. I replaced 2 2GB with 2 4GB. One on the back, one under the keyboard.

3:49 AM
also OT?
ot

huh?

lol
distracted a bit, lol. I mean that question seems off topic.

Yes, it its :). Everything works fine in Ubuntu.
Why didn't you VTC?

@JourneymanGeek haha. my favorite thing about thinkpads is how easy they are to strip.

@chaskes I can't ;p
@Seth and they pretty much last forever

4:02 AM
Sure... once you know how
And they do last forever.

I have an r60 next to me
Its going on a decade

I got the T420 to replace a T60 I had for 5 years and was already 7 years old when I got it.

@chaskes fair enough ;)

Its one of the last 4:3/first sata thinkpads

I mean, only 1 slot in the back was a big shock. ;)

4:04 AM
ALso IBM not lenovo ;)

nothing wrong with looking at a service manual. I always do on a new machine, just so I don't miss anything.
@chaskes really? most laptops I've looked at only have 1 slot in the back. the other is almost always under the keyboard.

Exactly. I never would've guessed the 2nd slot was in a separate place.
Interesting. My experience (with toshiba to that point) was that both slots were in back.

the only exception to this I know of is my old elitebook 8560w. Giant workstation of a laptop that weighed over 7 pounds. Actually had 4 RAM slots.

The T61 had both slots under the keyboard

@chaskes interesting. I haven't worked on a Toshiba in a long time.

4:07 AM
So still in one place

In other news, a prominent youtuber has said that while editing his YouTube videos on the new MacBook Pro, while plugged in, the battery actually goes down.

Guess he needs a higher wattage power brick.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix considering this is the Macbook Pro you'd think the default would be good enough to do things people commonly use MacBook Pros for. You'd think.

@Seth I don't know about Macs since 1984 but recent laptops I've had provide higher wattage power bricks for faster processors, etc.

I think Seth is wondering why Apple is not providing a proper brick (if that's the issue) when you buy their expensive hardware.

4:18 AM
I think you are thinking about what Seth is thinking accurately!

@Seth Same happens with some phones during really heavy use.
The components consume more power than can be provided by the charger alone.

@NathanOsman I've never had that happen to any of my phones.

Sidenote: the OP3 doesn't suffer from this due to its unique circuitry :D

but then I try to avoid using my phone to an extent that would get close to that.

It also depends on the charger.
Charging via USB is always finicky.
USB 2.0 allows for a maximum of 500 mA.
Chargers often short the data lines to indicate that the device may draw more power than the spec. allows.
But this leads to all kinds of proprietary "hacks" for faster charging.

4:22 AM
@NathanOsman yeah, that's obviously not enough.

USB 3.x tried to clean the mess up, but I suspect we're still a couple years from standardizing on power delivery.
Personally, I really like what OnePlus did. They put the charging circuitry in... the charger of all places :P (instead of the phone where it gets really hot)

@NathanOsman its nearly non standard though :(

You can't have everything :P

oppo uses the same setup (since OP is pretty much the lexus to oppo's toyota)

Either:
1. widely used standard
2. fast charging
@JourneymanGeek VOOC is what they call it.

4:26 AM
yup
and the cable is non standard too IIRC

It's just a USB-C cable.

IIRC no

Works in a normal USB port.
Mine does - the OP3.

there's a transistor inside for detection
so you can't use a normal USB C to A cable in a DASH charger

Oh, for fast charging, yes.
You need the custom cable.

4:28 AM
On the other hand

But it will still charge at normal speeds with any USB-C cable.

the op3 will default to a safe current with anything else

Right.

so you don't end up burning things out like with the pixel tabs

Even adding a USB extension cable in between the USB A connector and the wall plug throws it off.

4:29 AM
USB 2 is only good for 3 feet, USB 3 for 10 feet.

heard some claims it worked

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I thought it was 6'.

You need a powered hub to go beyond 10 feet and chain them.
Oh 6' for USB 2 you are probably right.

> "A1: In practice, the USB specification limits the length of a cable between full speed devices to 5 meters (a little under 16 feet 5 inches). For a low speed device the limit is 3 meters (9 feet 10 inches)."
O_O
That's not what I remember.

Oh my I got my facts wrong...damn memory!

4:31 AM
> Q3: How far away from a PC can I put a USB device?
> A3: With the maximum of 5 hubs connected with 5m cables and a 5m cable going to your full speed device, this will give you 30m of cable (see section 7.1.19 for details). With a low speed device, you will be able to get a range up to 27m, depending on how long the device's cable is. With a straightforward cable route, you will probably be able to reach out 25m or so from the PC.
Oh my!
So 27m is the maximum.
Theoretical, anyway.
What the heck is that?
Oh, it's not what I thought it was.
This is what I was looking for:
USB over ethernet.

I thought cat5 could go 100 meters (300 feet)?
of course that was 20 years go I remember that from

I wouldn't be surprised.

I thought you could daisy chain like up to 255 powered hubs though

Yes, but the maximum depth is 5.
I think you can only have a maximum of 255 devices total (including hubs).

5:10 AM
It's actually 127 devices including hubs: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB#Powered_USB
I only have three hubs (two powered) so can't test the depth though.

at that point though, on linux, I do believe there's USB over IP solutions

I was reading new USB specs are optical so that should provide greater distances I think.

Er... no

thunderbolt's original spec was optical but that never caught on

5:21 AM
was it too expensive to produce?

probably

seems like that's one reason, but copper can provide power

they could use both
also, most tbolt specs are dual use
You use the same connector for mini dp in tbolt 2, and USB C (with all its alt modes) in tbolt3

One of the other nice things about new specs is 100 watts of power -- cell phones can charge a lot faster.

lol
Catch fire faster... ;p

5:33 AM
my laptop has temperature sensor to turn on fan, shut down on critical you think a cell phone could monitor battery temperature too and shut down / slow down charger no? Samsung president was too caught up fighting bribery fires to fight real fires.

@Seth I wouldn't get too hung up on the "Pro" in "Macbook Pro". I have noticed many products for amateurs like to use "Pro" in the name ;)

@Chan-HoSuh yeah but the MBP has a long history of being a pro level device.

Well, there's also a long history of people complaining they aren't pro enough.
And if you go as far back as the pre-Intel era, the pro laptops were way underpowered

Any KVM folks around?

um put sudo in front? :p

5:40 AM
Of what?

I say this and people seem to think it's not surprising. I find that rather odd. If I'm going to spend almost $2000 on a laptop marketed to designers/video editors/developers, etc I at least expect it to be able to handle those tasks.

If this helps at all:

@Seth I haven't kept up with Mac hardware. From what you're saying, I gather that the hardware has become more and more under-powered over time. However, my recollection is that Mac hardware has always been known as under-powered, especially for the types of things we're talking about.

@Chan-HoSuh The specs are find. i7, 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD. And up until this latest model everything else was pretty good too.

Are you big into video editing?

5:48 AM
@Chan-HoSuh Not really. But I follow people that are.

just got macromedia flash 8 e.e

@Seth so do you have the latest MacBook Pro, or were you thinking of buying it?

@Chan-HoSuh nah. The latest one is awful. I've considered buying slightly older ones before but the specs for the price are always terrible compared to what I can get elsewhere.

@Zanna those drives are old enough to drink... ;p

hahaha
yeah

And I seem to recall those typically would have their own ISA controller card

I think it should be a duplicate of the linked post, but no, OP couldn't possibly bear to open a terminal! The horror!

People stopped using those disks pretty much post XT
More like "You can't even plug that in"

because there was no reason at all to use them

lol
Someone yelled at me for saying VGA is obsolete :(

6:05 AM
people yell a lot :(

tell them it's VGA on green monochrome monitor that will give wow factor :)
nvm I got that backwards

@WinEunuuchs2Unix other than a few situations (Institutional projectors) - basically we've moved past VGA, to DVI and DP (on computers) and HDMI (on TVs and projectors)
And on a monitor I consider DVI a minimal specification

Well both my laptops have VGA ports and one of my TV's has VGA input. VGA spec allows for 32k pixels shrugs

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I'm not using any VGA ports right now - and "have" and "have only" are different

True my old laptop only has VGA out, no HDMI out... that has to be done through special adapter that merges VGA and audio into HDMI.

I think VGA support was dropped by most big manufacturers from 2011
and in that context it was a modern current gen card having DVI-D rather than DVI-I connectors

My Dell laptop was made in 2013 and has VGA although I've never used it as HDMI is superior.

only ;p
My second monitor has VGA (at 1080p) 3 hdmi 2.0 and 1 dp connector

6:46 AM
My ancient 2004 laptop only has VGA

"ancient"
VGA is a tremendiously long lived interface, and will likely outlast everyone here ;p
