@BharadwajRaju good job on the --ignore-keys option. However, I wanted to make it take multiple keys like SN or CN . It's OK though . I already merged pull request, probably that's enough for now .
@ByteCommander BharadwajRaju added ignore-keys option to lks-indicator. Feel free to test it
And for crying out loud, can somebody please start asking native speakers to translate posts instead of bluntly close voting a legitimate, on-topic question ?
@JacobVlijm if that question is the duplicate one, how about merging the two questions ? Since it has accepted answer might be not possible, but you could always ask @terdon or Seth to look into it
Some time ago people would rush in to close-vote questions that are tagged with EOL releases. Which is even mods disagree with : legitimate question , not related to version issue, so let's keep it open. And the posts related to Mint and stuff. It's very inconsistent - oh , first we want to close everything, then other say ,no let's keep them open, because they're applicable. Like, freakin decide already !
Also , let me remind you folks that there is Ubuntu Kylin , which is Chinese distro and you can expect Chinese users to post here. And not all of them speak fluent Ingles !
@Pilot6 then why do we put effort into editing out Linux Mint and EOL releases that are deemed worthy ? Also , even if person tries to use google translate, it messes up everything. Just look at that question we just talked about. It still got closed
@Pilot6 we do not have to , but in general even mods agree that sometimes a perfectly legitimate question can stay on AU and closing just because it is tagged mint or whatever makes no sense.
I have had this conversation with terdon, Seth, jokerdino . If you want , ask them
its a waste of time to translate just because people prefer it ..or feel lazy to translate it in english themselves .. unless they really don't know basic english "in my view"
@Serg In most cases it is very hard to tell if a problem is specific to e.g. Mint or not. We are not supporting Mint and do not welcome question about it. Otherwise we'll be flood with questions about other distros. U & L is for that kind of questions.
I agree with @CodeX If OP does not know English at all, it makes no sense. They won't be able to understand answers or comments. There are other language forums for those people.
@Pilot6 True sometimes it's hard to tell. Such things as package management ( apt and dpkg ) however can stay here. They're not specific to Ubuntu alone. Bash related questions could stay
@Pilot6 I can reproduce it if I disable compiz plugin for Desktop Wall
@Pilot6 by the same logic , i could say "Well this wireless question makes no sense to me and I cannot reproduce it" . Should it be closed ? No ! I'd ask you or chilli555
@Serg Package management problems with Mint may be ralated to Mint repositories. Pure bash related questions are also off topic. I am against making the scope of bash related on topic questions. Mint users can get wupport on Mint forums or U&L.
Solutions for may not work for Mint, because of different package versions, etc. We are not supposd to know which e.g. Mint or Elementary version corresponds which Ubuntu one.
@Serg I read meta posts. It depends on what kind of bash question it is. In most cases it is on topic, but not always IMO.
My opinion is to close all EoL and other distro questions. That stimulates the users to install supported versions, or tells them to find support for other distros elsewhere.
Like I said, issues not related to Ubuntu releases often can be fixed with a few clicks. It doesn't harm anyone to keep a question open . In fact , we have over 80 EOL open questions. Why nobody is bothering go like "Welp , they're EOL , let's close all that" ?
And yes, you never know before you try to fix something. Not bluntly tell people " I won't help you because your thing is old " . Especially if it was not old just a few weeks ago
TL;DR : there's people who can translate foreign posts , ask them ; don't just close vote all the things
Dear AskUbuntu community ,
Although de-facto language of stackexchange network is English, please take a moment to reflect on this topic: Ubuntu has users from around the world, and not all ...
@grooveplex er sorry to be a pain, but I am spending a lot of time 'improving' your suggested edits... could you please try to look a bit more carefully? sudo rm r- was a mistake left in a post you edited and your other edits there are quite minor - you missed the only critical one!

If you do not care about what gets updated this one is good enough. And you can set this to silently update.

she needed a flat in munich but was on probation after starting an apprenticeship and work as a flight attendant.
Kind of, but I think more for legal reasons than an inherent distrust of foreigners. It's pretty difficult to evict a tenant from their apartment even if they haven't paid rent in months. As a landlord you can easily lose 6 months of rent (which is a lot in dense and wealthy urban areas like Frankfurt) because you can't get a different tenant. And then later it's difficult to collect the debt if they leave the EU.
You pretty much need a trustworthy bailer willing to guarantee the rent payments in that situation. For simple flats, citizens can always get unemployment benefits and housing support to cover that.
