How can I invite a 1-rep user to a chat room? @Seth

@ByteCommander You can't. I can help you with that though. Which user, which room?

I thought If I create one, I can grant anybody explicit access, but that works only if the user was already on chat.

(be sure to support the feature request here: meta.stackexchange.com/q/100291/203389)

The only exception is if you do a "move this conversation to chat" then they can talk.

7:09 PM
Or better one of my own rooms?

Better create your own.
There is a reason for the 20 rep limit.

But there are not enough comments on the question yet for this to appear.

tell you what.

Hm?
Doesn't work?
Then leave it.
I have to quit soon for today anyway...

Are you working with them on a question?
Sorry Byte, chat went down for me.

7:15 PM
For me too... But I thought it was a local problem...

@Seth Can we give it another try? :)
But I restarted the machine
And now wlan0 appears only in ifconfig -a.
If I plug it out and then plug it in again, it appears in ifconfig too

@Seth Upvoted! Good night.

Night!
Hang on a minute @IonicăBizău.

Ok
$ sudo ifup wlan0
[sudo] password for ionicabizau:

@A.B. Yes, you are. so how can you get a shall script to execute under GNOME by double-clicking it?

yay 700 users

@Mateo TastyKid?

nah, my first scope
RSS Feeds Scope
Recommendations/TasteKid isn't in the store yet

Ah!

I'm going to wait a few days to hear about the api request increase

7:54 PM
By popular demand:
If OSes were dogs, OSX would be a steak-only eating German Shepard, IOS a Chihuahua, Windows an easy-to-take-care-of breed like a Golden Retriever and Linux would be a pure mongrel that'll eat raw onion, grass, potato peels and generic garbage and drinks from a puddle.
@Mateo Huh?

I e-mailed them to ask if they could up the limit on 150 requests/hr

Ah, yes!
@ByteCommander Yes, WiFi, LAN, Bluetooth all have different MAC addresses, so if it has all three (or more then 1 LAN port:) perfectly normal
What's the problem?
@Mateo Could you star "If OSes were dogs?"

:/

@Fabby thank you and the script, I have only tested the command. Doesn't works for me. But I can check the double click thing tomorrow.

Cool! Thanks... Leave a comment or create your own answer...
Going into review mode now!

8:09 PM
But the double click should work ... I will see :)

@A.B. That's what I thought! (should be universal)

8:43 PM

@A.B. Goodnight my friend! :)

10:17 PM
@ParanoidPanda I don't mind if you ask questions in future - I had a crap night so I was grumpy. You are more than welcome to ask questions in the future. :)

11:05 PM
