(I'm compiling NitroShare for Win64 and I thought I had a Win64 compiler installed... but somehow it got messed up.)

(Hence the need to reinstall it.)

The VC++ 2010 runtime is huge. Like >50 MB.

It's still downloading... make that >60 MB...

So I guess installing SP1 for VC++ 2010 Express ruined everything.

Well, I might as well go do something else for a few minutes. I have over 200 MB of stuff downloading over a 1 Mbps connection (in other words, 40 minutes or so).

ISO files are by definition read-only.

The only way to modify them is to extract the contents and prepare a new ISO file.

Q: Where did /usr/lib64 go and what is /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu?

@Gaurav_Java oh seems like you need to fix your alsa settings first. But there could be a problem seeing as you are using beats audio, which might not be fully supported in Ubuntu yet.

Well, I'd never had alsa before so I wouldn't know how. Maybe @RolandTaylor can guide you on that. Or try sudo apt-get purge alsa

I have a legit copy of 2010 pro...from MSDNAA

In all probability it's a registry key that it doesn't pull when you remove it (it doesn't solve your problem, but regshot before and after would probably help you find it for future reference)

I wonder if there's a market for a Windows x64 build farm...like launchpad but for windows...
