You saw religion SE and such and you thought SE couldn't get any worse... nope there's a section for vegans to whine about social pressure too, where they can pat each other on the back for rejecting breastmilk and using synthetic vitamins instead.
I think they should at least apply number 2 to solve number 1. If they just admit it's only for whining and bitching about social issues then it would make sense and fit with the SE model at the same time again
Then they can migrate any useful questions to Cooking.SE, which is actually a pretty cool SE
ohh... still could you mention it/provide link.. ?
@MickLH yup... that after a point once you have many interacting classes, physical organization of files and which files are #include'd from which other seems to become very tricky
It was the code golf site, where almost everyone used a different programming language, and everyone hated each others', so they had the opportunity to use it....a lot
nice, yeah people are better than computers, but to start with, computer translation is at least something. (i plan to do Steam Early Access, so there will be time to get strings converted appropriately in due course)
why is my keyboard layout changing from FIN to ENG randomly? The tooltip says it should change with win+space but I didn't push that combo. I pushed altgr+printscreen right before it got changed
^ this is what I am refactoring into. Got tired of using a spreadsheet. Come time later I'll create a custom webpage to let translators edit string that I'll import later on
@Lasse Not very. Tallowmere 1 had like "You killed %CREATURE_NAME%" and variations, and the odd sentence, Russian translator needed variations depending on the creature's gender
hah yikes, didn't know that
Russian had a strange thing where, so for the word "Coins", the word was different depending on the last digit of the number it was referring to
it's like teenagers are always recommending to watch Twister for everyone when they ask what movies to watch, and they are pretty enthusiastic about it
then I watched it and man it was crap, how can anyone actually like it
It's like the time I was on the bus and 3 teenage boys in front of me were raving on about how excited they were for the Nickelback concert that was playing the next day. And I'm sitting behind them, "oh god please help me"
he also has two phases. The slug part will pop open after a certain amount of damage and a smaller faster boss will come out. When our animator saw this concept his reaction was the following : "Who the fuck is gonna rig this ?" :D
there's this new pyramid scheme in Turkey, people are selling "ads and adspace" but you need a buy-in and you get a cut for everyone you bring in. People are really buying into it...
I have a friend who'd loves doing intricate work and different stuff, really goes into the details, sometimes I have to pull him out of it and tell him to stop making it better cuz it's not worth the time he puts into it xD
thanks to him though, my game menus look f'n amazing
@Tyyppi_77. It sort of just starts, needs some sort of lean in. I like the variety you are showing but maybe cut down on the running n gunning parts and show more levels instead. On the part were you a carrying the girl you slow down on the ladder and that sort off cuts off the whole flow of the trailer.
Story so far is that you have been working for death as a assistant( think shinigami here) and are about to be promoted to his position by the chaos gods. Then he betrays and kills you Sour Reaver style and this leads to the universal balance getting all kinds of fucked up. So then you go trough all 12 other assistants and then level 13 is death himself. So what sort of name should he character have :D
@Tyyppi_77 I think showing the join screens briefly at first is a great idea because it will also set the user's modality firmly to that of playing the game, which should enhance the fast paced effect you have going
I mean the steam format already mostly does that, but the video isn't always gameplay so it wouldn't be firm by default. So I think it would be a real benefit by ensuring nobody has a "cutscene effect" about the pace and action
