Once we try to argue by whatever construed means that it is an actual "princess movie" only to find out that it is suddenly devoid of any characterisitics of a typical "princess movie", we might rather want to consider the logic of our argumentation to begin with. Maybe it's just not a "princess movie", rather than an incredibly subversive and suprisignly non-princess-like one. ;-)

In fairness, given the choice I wouldn't include Aladdin as one purely because the protagonist is Aladdin, not Jasmine.

And (AFAIK) in all the others, the protagonist is the female.

@DrRDizzle Sure, but either we choose a content- and style-oriented definition of "princess movie", then many of the films Disney counts as that don't seem to adhere to this definition. Or we choose Disney's marketing definition, but then the concept of the "classic princess movie" has been violated by enough ealier films already.
