@Bob btrfs has come a long way since then -- Oracle's RHEL build considers it their premiere production filesystem, while Red Hat themselves and CentOS support it fairly well too, just giving XFS a slight edge

at this point, XFS >>>>> ext4 for all tasks -- both in terms of perf and reliability

notifications at a glance, hands-free. Usually most useful as activewear (like when you're running) and you want to remain connected, and track your time and all that using phone apps. But also useful if you are not in a situation where your hands are often free yet don't want to juggle a phone.

For me though, I just think it's really cool technology and I'm into that :P

@Bob - I am not even sure its being created to be honest. I suppose I could try a Ubuntu Live installation to try and find out. The problem is the BSOD says its going to restart my computer but never does but does get to 100% complete progress but I am pretty sure I configured windows not to automatically reboot ( hence the reason it doesn't )

@MichaelFrank Cell phones and cellphone services have an emergency notification feature, just like the emergency broadcast system you see tested on TV and the radio. It's not that new but I don't think it was really used heavily until the past several years.
