Indeed indeed. No test suite is a pain (whom do you tell, since years I want to write an automatic test suite for all TL packages ... if only I didn't have a normal job ...)
Hi @JosephWright as usual I would say. Hopefully the sources are now really frozen after dvisvgm update and dvipdfmx fixes. We don't know of anything else for now ... rest is getting all the builders to provide binaries!
@FaheemMitha the change in dvipdfmx only applies to (u)ptex create dvi files, so as long as you don't do Japanese typesetting with ptex or uptex, nothing will change.
Please see the luaotfload manual `luaotfload-latex.pdf` there are examples how to load the font `\font \tibetanfont ={name:Noto Serif Tibetan:mode=harf;script=tibt;}` Selecting the harf renderer is done on a font definition level
Ah, for your personal use, do whatever is fine. (x)dvipdfm(x) has a small fix that will be in the next release, other than that I don't expect too many changes.
@FaheemMitha I would wait a bit longer, the binaries are not completely settled. We have updates to dvipdfmx pending. So don't start backporting. And in particular, you do NOT want to backport anything from the experimental suite!
@AlexG I guess your mail server does not properly ack the reception of the mail. If that happens, the mail server at tug.org will try to redeliver. Are you sure that this is a problem on the tug side? Have you looked into you mail server logs?
@DavidCarlisle Indeed, I just see that this is a bug ... oberdiek is in collection-latex, while kvoptions is now in collection-latexextra. This is not a good idea. I will tell Karl to move kvoptions into collection-base to keep it in the same place as before. Other packages should be checked, too.
I don't see strong language here. Assuming the usage of "bullshit" or so, I would agree with you. But "nonsense" is a common English word that I would not count under "strong". But anyway ...
@Kurt Removal from github is practically impossible AFAIK. Concerning CTAN, you need to give a good argumentation and contact the CTAN maintainers, it might be moved to obsolete branch.
