Almost every VPN security question can be resolved with "Using a VPN means you have 2 internet service providers instead of just one". When one is extremely untrusted (public WiFi), it's an obvious win.

@R.. I don't think PQC research is hysteria, because it's going to take several years after a cryptography algorithm is proposed to be proven, and several years after that for it to be reasonably deployed. So you need to take the high end of QC progress estimates.

I presume you're going to have physical security presence to back up the technical measures, right? If so, I wouldn't proceed too far past the first answer.

Details on limited liability on credit cards in the USA: you're only out USD$50 if you catch the fraudulent transaction within 30 days, or USD$500 if it takes longer. With a debit card, that time frame is reduced to 72 hours.
