I don't need "software support", just need to be pointed in the right direction as to whether or not I should be concerned. Thank you.

I visited a website which was infected by this. I've spent the last hour trying to find out what it's supposed to do exactly, but all the information is on how to remove it from a website and nothing about what it does to a user's computer, and if he/she needs to do anything to remove it.
Mar 10, 2017 05:09
I apologize if this is slightly off topic, but I was wondering if anyone knows what this malware is supposed to do to a user's computer: labs.sucuri.net/db/malware/…

@Lilienthal What is it?
Feb 19, 2016 15:23
The Internet is forever.
Feb 19, 2016 15:23
Yeh I come across my Stack Overflow answers every now and then and am surprised to see my name at the bottom of the list.
Feb 19, 2016 15:22
lol
Feb 19, 2016 15:22
@Lilienthal And that's okay. A lot of times these tools are meant to help things get closer to the mark even if we can't 100% get there. If it's still way off target, you folks will step in as a group.
Feb 19, 2016 15:21
This is also good to note that this is a shining example of where the close, edit, reopen cycle works really well to take some raw, unfinished material and turn it into a sculpted masterpiece.
Feb 19, 2016 15:19
But I actually went through every single comment. There were several good ones seeking clarity, which the op resolved, making them obsolete comments, or comments answering the question, which we try to discourage since the answers section is where all the Google search juice will come from.
Feb 19, 2016 15:18
Yeh, it looks like I just dropped a nuke.
Feb 19, 2016 15:18
Ah, yeh, it got caught in the crossfire. ;)
Feb 19, 2016 15:17
So it seems like a viable question with some solid answers.

This question has been edited by the op, who removed content that painted the coworker in a bad light.

Q: How to manage a co-worker you dislike

Clark KentI have recently been promoted to manage a small team I worked in before. My problem is, one of my coworkers. The co-worker (Jane) is a person I really do not like. We’ve had several loud clashes. Most of my coworkers don't like Jane very much, but they don't work close to her everyday, so they ...

@Lilienthal Yeh, you could say that. I talked to the duck and decided to just reopen it.

Seems like, if asking for actual law text, it's not the same as interpreting the law. Do you think this can be reopened? If so, it needs 4 more reopen votes from those with the close/reopen vote privilege.

QuillionSo I am currently working in a wonderful place and have been for 3 years. Anyone see any edits that could be done to possibly bring this question back on-topic so it isn't a plea for advice?
Nov 17, 2014 23:30
The asker mentioned we can edit.... if anyone sees anything valuable in the comments that could help, feel free to edit! :)

@Dan - Think about the last time your workplace had a seminar on sexual harassment or workplace bullying. My guess is it was probably an hour long and had lots of information intended to teach not just tell. I'd be very surprised if someone just walked into the room and said "Don't do X. That is all. Good day." Can you or someone else perhaps add a bit more to this so we also do the same? Hope this helps clarify. (As an aside, some of the info from the comments could possibly help, if you or someone else wanted to edit.) — jmort253 ♦ 32 secs ago

Here's the information from the IRS on how to determine if you pass the bona-fide residence test: irs.gov/Individuals/International-Taxpayers/…
Feb 1, 2016 16:41
The key word when I look at this folks is that it says "probably". Even the quote by @phoog says "probably" There is nothing in the tax law that clearly spelled out how to 100% tell if you're a bona-fide resident. "Probably" just isn't good enough for me to rely on, which is why I'd strongly suggest the op pass the physical presence test. It's spelled out a lot more clearly and definitively than bona-fide residence status. The bona-fide residence test even refers to its own name, creating a bit of a circular reference.
Feb 1, 2016 16:41
How do you know the op is a bonafide resident? From what I read of the tax law, it wasn't clear how to fully establish this.

As someone who builds software for sales, I have to know how to code, understand how salespeople think, watch and understand how they work, and know the terminology they use so we can communicate with each other about the problem, which ultimately leads to practical solutions.
