@MattЭллен @StoneyB thanks for the feedback, here is draft #2 (using Georgia instead of Baskerville, reducing the size of the bottom text, and darkening up the writing hand a little). I keep going back and forth on the spacing and the font sizes.
Hmm ... there's a lotta folks around who write pretty well. Why would they want to post on the blog instead of in the Q&A? he said rhetorically. Obviously, because they're not limited by an inferior question, or by such constraints as get a question closed. So perhaps something building on freedom of expression or get it off your chest or don't wait to be asked . . .
People keep trying to get MusicXML to the point where it can be used to move digital scores around, but most of the composers I know still use midi for that, even though you tend to lose articulations
@JasperLoy yeah, but there's just something about putting something on the Internet that seems so permanent, like if I say something stupid people will always be able to back to it and point it out to me
