Readability for your example appears to follow the formula y=1/x where x is the distance from the top-left corner. Likely correlates to the size of your handwriting decreasing, which makes lower-case characters even more hard to read.

slack [definition needed] - My definition of slacking, i.e. not listening to lecture for an entire semester, does not mean I didn't do the actual minimum amount of work for that course.

When teaching someone to code, it's better to have code that works incorrectly than no code at all. You can't fix non-existent code. Also note that most developers rarely get code working right the first time. Those that can are probably running compilers in their cerebral cortices.

@FedericoPoloni I don't condone academic dishonesty, but this is risky in a small class environment. He may end up being caught in his own web. Maybe in a while when he's no longer involved.

Say you haven't finished your work yet, and say that up until the last minute. No more copying.

I will update my answer with a more nuanced one

@ff524 that @Compass person has the exact same story as me. Wow :V

I'm a poor judge of scope and wasn't sure if such a question falls perfectly in the scope of academia
Jan 9, 2017 16:56
(and no, I did not have to retake the exam)

Random thought. I'm thinking of self-answering the question "What do I do when I've lost my student's coursework?" based on my own actual experience with having my exam lost. Any one have any objections to that? Answering it mostly because it relates to a few questions I've seen pop up. No rush regarding responses, I'll probably just jot it down by the end of the week if no one has issues about it.

I added Canada to google fu. w2prod.sis.yorku.ca/Apps/WebObjects/cdm.woa/wa/DirectAction/‌… At least one Canadian university does this, so it is possible that this university could have it as well. Consult the registrar.

At my university, students with more than two exams on the same day were allowed to adjust to have only two. This appears to be present at other universities as well, based on my Google fu

If you choose not to attend a class, you are still held to the same standard of knowledge who does attend that class. I stopped listening to lectures after my first week of one of my classes, but I made sure to provide the best content and research in my final paper to demonstrate that I didn't need the lectures to demonstrate my mastery of the provided material.

Yeah, conceptually it seems complicated, but in actuality it's a random increment, then a propagate left and right
Jun 23, 2015 18:42
i could do "0"-0 but that's a waste of 2 characters!
Jun 23, 2015 18:42
agh the waste!
Jun 23, 2015 18:42
5 characters!
Jun 23, 2015 18:41

that and I think it'd return null

wait no that might not work
Jun 23, 2015 18:29
You're too good at this
Jun 23, 2015 18:27
I still don't see golfy JS yet. But I think, as far as JS goes, it's pretty efficient given the fact that the golfed random I tried to use failed ._.
Jun 23, 2015 18:26
i ended up with 0s as strings and that was not what i needed ._.
Jun 23, 2015 18:25
creating a 0-array in javascript is remarkably hard
