@ff524 Congratulations for making it to the hat summary again.
Random thought. I'm thinking of self-answering the question "What do I do when I've lost my student's coursework?" based on my own actual experience with having my exam lost. Any one have any objections to that? Answering it mostly because it relates to a few questions I've seen pop up. No rush regarding responses, I'll probably just jot it down by the end of the week if no one has issues about it.
(and no, I did not have to retake the exam)

@Compass Any one have any objections to that? – Why should we? Also see this help-centre article.

I'm a poor judge of scope and wasn't sure if such a question falls perfectly in the scope of academia
@Compass isn't that already addressed in

Q: What happens when a instructor really goofs up a course?

ChelonianGiven how many college courses are taught every academic semester in the world (or even just in the U.S.), it simply must be the case that some portion of the instructors badly goof up their courses, to the point where it is not really able to be recovered from--in essence, the course is ruined. ...

It seems like the specific question would be a duplicate of the more general one

@ff524 that @Compass person has the exact same story as me. Wow :V
I will update my answer with a more nuanced one

@Compass Oh, that's funny :) I didn't even notice you had written an answer on that one. I hadn't looked to closely at the user names on the answers
