Q: What is the difference between "anyone" and "everyone" in this context

For example, Anyone is welcome to do such and such. and Everyone is welcome to do such and such. mean exactly the same thing to me. But since I am not a native speaker, I guess there might be some subtle difference. Can anyone explain?

I think there is a difference. If I say "Anyone can become president," it implies a finite number of people for a one-at-a-time slot. If I say "Everyone can become president," it implies that all U.S. citizens will get their turn, or that they can all be president at the same time.

But in the main the two are interchangeable.
