@Bellatrix - Why did you edit this? It looks like you changed the correct canon spelling (Cadwallader) to the spelling Cadawaller.
Is this related to the “British vs. American English” discussion?

4:51 AM
I misremembered and thought it was spelled Cadawaller. So I changed it to the spelling I thought was correct. I checked the books though and you're right. :)
I don't think it's different between versions, anyway my ebook shows you're right. “It’s Cadwallader!’ said Professor McGonagall loudly from beside Luna. The crowd laughed. Harry stared around for the Snitch; there was no sign of it. Moments later, Cadwallader scored.”
I've fixed it back! :)

@Randal'Thor Why is this here? Also, @Randal'Thor, your comment about getting Harry Potter badges as easy is pretty dismissive. I would not say any such thing to you. We all work hard here. Just sayin'.

Was scifi.stackexchange.com/q/166909/4918 "Was it required at Hogwarts that a Head of House have been a student in that House?" a HNQ? I'm getting a lot of upvotes and I didn't expect that.
In fact, it has already risen to the second most upvoted answer I have.

1:29 PM
@Mithrandir Indeed. Thanks.

@b_jonas When it gets more than 1k views, it's definitely a HNQ

Q: Is "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" canon with Star Trek?

Scott ChamberlainInspired by the various answers and questions about ET and Star Wars based on a cameo, I wanted to know is Star Trek and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in the same Multiverse? Now before you go laughing me off of the internet I recommend you watch the following video. For those who are...

What the actual hell?

@amflare Now before you go laughing me off of the internet I recommend you watch the following video

@Olórin Discord, Q, de Lancie. Lord of Chaos and Trolling.
That's why you then get things like this:
Defeat a Star Trek foe, get a Star Wars ending.
nothing better than this to troll two fandoms that have always been arguing on what is the best series.

Floofy leg
Guess whose?

@Gallifreyan Its a spider, isn't it.

@amflare Hehe :D
evil plan being born

@Slytherincess The quoted image of you at 77777 was there because I remembered it when I too hit 77777 some years later. And I'm sorry to have come across as dismissive - I certainly wasn't trying to diminish your contributions to the site in any way! It was intended as a joke, and I'm sorry if it didn't come off that way.

But it's a fact that HP goes to HNQ more often than any other tag.

@Gallifreyan Yours, with new slippers?

Irrespective of new releases.

2:47 PM
@Olórin Not necessarily. Sometimes questions get a ton of views just from Google, without going to HNQ.

@Gallifreyan I joined this site because I'm a star wars nerd. What do I have the most rep from? A stupid GoT gate answer and a handful of HP answers. Without even trying... idk how to feel about it.

@amflare Thank people like @Randal'Thor who FGITW the HNQs without even having properly seen or read anything about Star Wars.

Oh, I haven't touched Star Wars stuff for years at this point.
Once you stop caring about rep for its own sake, it's more satisfying to answer questions about things you actually know about.

@Randal'Thor There was a Night Watch cycle question recently ;)

3:02 PM
Saw it, upvoted it. I could probably put together an answer if I had the time, but it would require a lot of flipping pages hunting for quotes. @DVK would do a better job.

@Randal'Thor Easy for you to say ;)

3:35 PM
@amflare not just a spider. It's the Winged Spider from the ancient legends

@Derpy THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT ANY MORE OKAY

@amflare I could photoshop an horn on the picture to make it the first Alicorn/Unicorn spider, but I fear that wouldn't help either.

No... no it wouldn't

@Randal'Thor of course, there's also a certain satisfaction to being able to Google up a correct answer...

@Mithrandir Yes, but not as much as from having enough subject expertise that you don't need Google in the first place.
Also, don't let Hamlet hear you saying that ;-)

It's hard to train deep learning algorithms when most of the positive feedback they get is sarcastic.

@Mithrandir Hmm, true.

So I just finished Gene Wolfe's The Fifth Head of Cerberus novella trilogy. Very interesting and subtle read. Anyone else here know it?
