Hey guys, this is MonteCristo from ggChronicle/the ggClassic. I wanted to check in and see if anyone here watched the tournament this weekend. I'd love to get some feedback.

@MonteCristo I watched a bit of it.

The microphone kept cutting out during the commentary.

The overall presentation was really high quality, though.

The example question they were coming up with for LoL on our site were pretty good too, for the most part.

We have fixed those issues with the casters

@MonteCristo 'fraid I had an obligation I couldn't shake due to the short notice we got of it here.

and those issues only plagued a small percentage of the dozen or so matches we broadcast this weekend

Yeah, I didn't have a lot of time to watch this weekend. Most of what I did watch was after the fact, not live.

Since the game sound is completely muted, the commentators should make an effort to continue talking nonstop throughout the game.

There were a few awkward silences during the matches I watched.

They stay away from "coz its bad", and instead explain the implications of piracy both to you as a user, and to the industry in general. I think they do a good job of staying fact based rather than just being personal opinions with nothing to back them up.

@Foxtrot if you flag things for re-opening, and it's not obviously fixed to be on topic mods probably won't take action, fyi. especially if it got close voted by the community, having a mod override that decision can be problematic

if you want people to look at it and reconsider their close votes, you can paste the link in here and you'll usually get some good feedback

Otherwise you end up with that weird dynamic where 3k+ users can only vote to re-open, but <3k users can flag and essentially open it with just one mod agreeing

@FAE Grinding from like level 45 to 99 and all the really hard abilities, if I remember correctly. There's a place on the world map where you can walk around in circles and just auto-attack and it had pretty good AP/EXP.

There's a gimmick to the ones in FF13-2: if you hit Victory or Super Victory mode, the odds become much better. But I think I hit those once in the hour I tried doing it manually

@FAE That's not so much cheating as tweaking, in my opinion. Whoever does that has the proper mad scientist mindset. As long as you're not doing it for multiplayer advantage, anyways.

Now, if they did it to see if they could shoot purple beams (example; you COULD do that in star trek online when it first launched) or somesuch, I'd say go to it. Infinite health, ammo...just sorta kills the game for me.

I found out I had a trojan

which was both the cause of my memory issues, and also what was causing random commercial sounds to play

I have a few gigs of RAM so no worries there :)
