@SmokeDetector k (although the comment might actually be something relevant)
@SmokeDetector k
@SmokeDetector k
That question needs protecting.

@Randal'Thor If that's the comment I saw, it was copied content from another, actual answer

[ SmokeDetector ] Manually reported question: What work from home can you recommend me? by Aleksandra Culture on askubuntu.com

@AndrasDeak From the same user?

5:14 PM
sock account, I presume

Or at least someone with the same username.

[ SmokeDetector ] Manually reported answer: What work from home can you recommend me? by Mikhail Papin on askubuntu.com

the original answer, the source of the copy was with capital L; the copied comment was from a new user with lowercase l

[ SmokeDetector ] Manually reported answer: What work from home can you recommend me? by Mikhail Papin on askubuntu.com

Could be someone else using the same username in the hope that they'll achieve the same recognition for a copied answer?
shakes head People are strange.

let me see
@Randal'Thor no, it was just a comment... on a blatantly abusive answer
I think the abuser is just very bored

Ah, you have 10k there ... just :-)

hmm...I think the commenter was the author of the abuse posts, just changed name just before being nuked
@Randal'Thor indeed;)

@AndrasDeak Yep, user6548445 on both non-answers and the comment.

5:19 PM
OK then
in related news, I found a bug
I can see "show 1 more comment" on the deleted post, but if I click it, it's gone. It must be because it belongs to a nuked user.

We still need some more spam flags on both Q and As here please: askubuntu.com/q/794758/367990
Thank you.

@AndrasDeak Probably [status-bydesign]. The same happens whenever someone's left a new comment and then deleted it: the "show 1 more comment" button doesn't disappear when the comment itself does.

but the link reappears after reloading the page
unlike quickly unwritten comments

Oh. That does sound like a bug.

Link to the page with the bug?

5:22 PM
but it's even less severe than this
but it's deleted...

{ metasmoke } @tchrist: It seems this is your first time sending feedback to SmokeDetector. Make sure you've read the guidance on your privileges, the available commands, and what feedback to use in different situations.

Is TChrist even pingable in this room?
@Art
It seems you need to make the metasmoke message make sense by posting it in the correct room.

@tchrist ^

@Loong Just pinged him in the Tavern

ok

@Loong Thanks, but that's silly that it's "the first time".

9:29 PM
yeah

@tchrist Yeah, kinda annoying.

It’s also silly that Smokey doesn’t listen or answer in all the rooms he’s in, and that these are not even the same set.
Shouldn’t answer someone in a room different than the room they talked to him in.
And really, should always listen to privileged users.

That's the only message that only posts in here. I'm not really in love with it, but... shrug
And as to not listening in all rooms: we figured that would be somewhat disruptive. With random "tpu"s or " sd k"s... that might be annoying to room regulars.

[ SmokeDetector ] Offensive body detected: How do you change the colour of buttons in TKinter? by James Johnson on stackoverflow.com

@SmokeDetector k
Some kind of weird troll.

yup
for an appropriate definition of funny
it must be a generation thing:P
although some of our teenagers here are more mature than most of our legally-adults
@QPaysTaxes so soon you'll have to assume responsibility for your actions:P
and you shouldn't have
it was rude and abusive
and "10/10 would delete again" sounds weird if you didn't contribute anything to its deletion

11:19 PM
quite vulgar, smokedetector. you need to watch that language, mister.

@AndrasDeak Define "mature"

@AndrasDeak a rude flag contributes to its deletion

@Quill I read "I didn't flag that as spam" as "I didn't flag"
not flagging abusive things as spam but rather as abusive would not have to be mentioned "for the record"
@TIPS mature as in chill and wise
mostly wise

@AndrasDeak like me? (。◕‿‿◕。)

@AndrasDeak I don't understand how that comment has any relevance to the situation at all
Rude flags contribute towards deletion just the same as spam flags

11:21 PM
@Quill yes:) Either you're misunderstanding me, or I you
@TIPS not exactly

@AndrasDeak (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
