@KitZ.Fox Would Errantry be too fancy?

12:38 AM
@tchrist it might be fun. I was thinking something more soothing.

So ... don't you think the absolute worst time to have a coronary would be while playing Charades?

2 hours later…
3:37 AM
@Robusto Indeed.
Or while playing a patient in a hospital television series.

@Mitch Those are lots of questions to answer. I was just asking whether you believe in afterlife.

user288256
I was being indirect on purpose, because... I have my own reasons for being indirect like that sometimes.

user288256
This reminds me of this story that happened to me a year or so back.

user288256
types the strange story

user288256
I once started talking about this topic (‘life after death’) with an English speaking girl somewhere on the internet, in writing, and she got uncomfortable I guess because she immediately tried to escape the discussion. Although, we were laughing and joking around a moment ago. I think she got scared because I had also mentioned “I’m a muslim”:) I don't know what happened because, before leaving, she asked me a question which was funny and borderline offensive at the same time. She asked me:

user288256
“Are you a recruiter for ISIS?”

user288256
10:17 AM
It was awkward, I mean I didn’t even say anything to her about joining anything or showed any zeal towards the religion.

user288256
Thinking about it again, I guess I should have said “Yes.” just to yank her chain, but that would have been a risky thing to do.

Mother Trucker! Before it was serious but this brings the battle to the front door

12:27 PM
@Cerberus That seems like the perfect time for a coronary. Totally in character, really committed to the part
@Ghalib Oh.
@Ghalib I didn't think it was particularly indirect. You did say "Do you believe in afterlife?" But I happened not to see it and saw "Do you believe in other worlds?".
But to the actual question... no, no afterlife.
@Ghalib Awkward. Because ISIS is the name of the spy agency on the cartoon comedy spy show "Archer"

1:31 PM
@Ghalib I wonder if it's because she suddenly thought maybe you are asking to see if she's excited to go to be rewarded in the afterlife, meaning she'd be more likely to commit a suicide attack? That is kind of weird. Or maybe she was hoping you were one because she wanted to be recruited?
@Mitch NOOOOOOO!

Damn hackers :P

@Mitch Yes, unless you want to survive it.
@Ghalib Of course I wasn't there to see the conversation, but her response does sound very strange to my ears.
So paranoid.
Perhaps it's because she is bombarded by the media with fear-mongering news items every day.

Q: The Silmarillion: Before or After The Lord of the Rings?

PeterI spent an extensive amount of time as an undergrad writing about and researching The Hobbit, especially in terms of Tolkien's famous essay on Beowulf. Getting a sense of what inspired Tolkien greatly enhanced my understanding of and appreciation for The Hobbit. Despite those efforts, I have yet...

Think this is the first time I've been Hot-Network-Questioned off to Literature.
Uber means "udder".
That an udderly ridiculous name for a taxi company.

not "utterly"?

Is joke.

2:43 PM
I see.

@Mitch I'm getting all these pangs with every sentence I end with a mark.
While phone chatting, I mean. And that's thanks to you.
Anyway, I'm feeling you now.

Q: What parts of speech are not related to the skills in a job description?

leeand00If I'm trying to find just the skills related to a job description, and I don't need the words that aren't related which skills are required for it, what parts of speech do I need to eliminate?

I read through this question a few times and now I feel like I don't understand English anymore.

@BlueBarren We thank you!

What's funny is that it has absolutely nothing to do with English.

My little brother made me watch Turbo F.A.S.T.
It has a lot of funny little jokes inserted, arguably more fun than the movie
