And the hiring manager was very apologetic about having to ask me to come down again.

Within about ten minutes of meeting him, the CIO told me I was very Dutch.

I was trying to decide whether that merger was productive for other words, and that's the first similar minimal pair that came to mind.

Although while I do merge picture with pitcher in casual/rapid speech, I don't think I'd ever merge lecture with lecher.
