ARGH!
I clicked to re-open a question, but because I forgot that I had already done so, the button instead was 'retract your reopen vote' and I only realized that in the split second after the muscles in my finger twitched enough to press the button.
And now I can't undo my undo.
So I canvas here for two reopen votes:
1
Q: Are a and ĘŚ pronounced the same?

Wilder SilvaAs in write vs up or must vs nice. I don't seem to find any difference. Could anyone tell me if there is one please?

The question is not particularly well posed but it definitely has a good answer which is an elaboration on 'Yes and no'

Yeah, that is a bad question.
It has no answers?
@Cerberus It has answers specific to each dialect. For some the answer is a resounding 'NO what kind of crazy person would think that?' and for other dialects the answer is 'Yeah, it's totally the same' and for others it is 'No not really but maybe I can't tell say it again'
I see 0 answers.
Are you sure you posted the right link?
That's because it is closed and no one can answer it.
It has -possible- answers.

Ah.
You seem to find every damn bird with a broken wing and want to bring it back to life.
I feel that this question is too minimal, with unclear and incorrect content, to warrant reopening.
But I have not voted to close it.
I voted to close it. Mine was the 3rd vote.
I stick by my decision.
@Robusto So that I can take care of it and hug it and warm it up and feed it so it is comfortable and fatten it up and cook it and eat it in its own juices.
But it's tiny.

@Robusto That's cool.
But
I feel bad for voting to reopen, then accidentally rescinding my VTR and being unable to do anything about it other than whine
I love that chart though
This chart shows the most common applications of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to represent English language pronunciations. See Pronunciation respelling for English for phonetic transcriptions used in different dictionaries. AmE, American English AuE, Australian English BahE, Bahamian English BarE, Barbadian English CaE, Canadian English CIE, Channel Island English EnE, English English FiE, Fiji English InE, Indian English IrE, Irish English NZE, New Zealand English PaE, Palauan English ScE, Scottish English SIE, Solomon Islands English SAE, South African English SSE, Standard Singapore...
What chart?
Whining is always a productive activity.
each column should have an accompanying vowel chart and native pronunciation sound file for each entry and compare charts side by side.
@Cerberus did you see the big chart whose rows are the lexical sets (for standard vowels)
The question has no images for me?
@Cerberus You have to use your imagination.
wait
which question?
20:37
I thought this was about the question you posted.

Why did they take away the "last seen" date on people's profiles?
Hmm.
Privacy?
I hadn't noticed.
