@tchrist I wanted to play with word classes in my description itself, hence adverbed.
 
I really want to know why English calls nonfinite verbs used adverbially participles but Spanish calls nonfinite verbs used adverbially gerunds. Saliendo de la puerte, me dijo adiós => Walking out the door, he said goodbye to me.
By the way, they’ve changed our vote block from Helvetica Neue to Georgia.
Oh good, they’ve fixed the Helvetica Neue to be Georgia over in the active place, too.

@tchrist Because, in Spanish, the gerund does not modify a noun, right? In English, the participle does modify a noun.
They're different constructions.
