Q: Is there a software solution if we do cut the cord from SE?

Willie WongThere has been some recent concerns about MathOverflow's relationship with StackExchange: see What is MathOverflow's "agreement" with Stack Exchange? How much is MathOverflow exposed to recent events on StackExchange? Suppose MO were to decide to sever the relationship (not that I am advocati...

PhysicsOverflow has a setup that's reasonably close to MO. It runs on the Question2Answer software. It was in part set up a kind of exodus from physics.stackexchange — David Roberts ♦ Jan 18, 2020 at 8:11
Codidact was born of a previous mass exodus from SE and has some experience with migrating data from SE to their software platform, QPixel. — Peter Taylor 22 hours ago
I would expect the database to be in a form similar to the existing periodic data dumps at archive.org/details/stackexchange (not that I have any idea what those looks like inside). Concerning software, see meta.stackexchange.com/q/2267 . Importing the Stack Exchange data dumps can’t be that difficult, as witnessed by writing.codidact.com (which, however, apparently runs on some sort of temporary software). — Emil Jeřábek Jan 16, 2020 at 16:49

Q: Are there any clones/alternatives for running a Stack Exchange style Q&A site?

AndrijaSince the source code for this site isn't available for purchase or external use, I'm looking for software that can run a Q&A environment similar to Stack Exchange. Are there any such pieces of software available?

MatStack Overflow for Teams, a hosted solution, is available for use. In the past there was an enterprise version of Stack Overflow, but this is now deprecated. Usually it's worth to set up a backup way to find the new place if you have to move away from this forum. But in the case of MathOverflow I'm pretty sure it's solved already. I'll look on John Baez's blog johncarlosbaez.wordpress.com and Gil Kalai's blog gilkalai.wordpress.com .
