Can you constrain your question to just one question, per Stackoverflow question, please? There is no central authority, of some kind, that issues regulations of some kind of a "propper way to handle a post request using a C++ server". What does "better way to parse the response" mean? If you'd like to have your code reviewed and improvements suggested this is not an appropriate questions for Stackoverflow. This is not a code review site. That would be codereview.stackexchange.comSam Varshavchik 39 secs ago

I edited the post to make the question clear. This certainly isn't ready for a code review yet because it doesn't work. If there is a better, more specific stack overflow I should post to please do let me know! — Zico 9 secs ago

Q: Modelling mathematical expressions in Rust

theonlygustiI've been trying so hard to come up with a data model that works for mathematical expressions (like x^2 + 2x - y * 4, no equals sign) in Rust. It's very different to other languages I'm most familiar with. Eventually, I want to be able to I think of mathematical expressions as recursive structure...

Q: How to optimise multiplication of dask.Array's (numpy.Array's)?

JoshJohnsonProblem description: Hello. In this problem I'm classifying cooking recipies based on 4 class types. Each recipe in array is given as a vector of word-embeddings. I was given a mask array of length 1200000 with 4 different class values (0,1,2,3), i.e. looking like this: ([0,0,1,2,4,0,...]). Then ...

Q: Use Pick utility type and base business type V.S. create more smaller interface

slideshowp2Many business types(T0, T1, etc...) use the ChannelBaseInfo type or its subtype. Currently, I use option 1 to make the business types. But I found this way repeated too many Pick<ChannelBaseInfo1, 'channelCode'>. So maybe option 2 with fewer type transforms could be better? Any suggestion? // Opt...

stackoverflow does not "discourage asking for help", but there are on topic and offtopic questions. Asking how to improve functional code is better suited for codereview. — mozway 22 secs ago

The problem I have with this approach is that it is confusing (or perhaps 'surprising') - I've just spent a while in a code review working out why the developer had imported an enum other than the Enum in the class; they hadn't but that's what it looked like because I wasn't reading the import properly: I thought we'd accidentally either created two identically-named classes in subtly-different packages. At least using MyEnum.DOG removes the need for the import and reduces the potential for confusion. — Rich 9 secs ago

@pacmaninbw You don't need to be a moderator to upvote good content, downvote bad content and close off-topic questions. And answer questions. It's surprising how good voting works.

I'm surprised this is necessary. I'm not familiar with the GitLab code review rules, but isn't there a flag (or a default) that says you cannot approve your own MR? — joanis 20 secs ago

It's possible to enforce having a 'master privileged' user to review the code, but unless you want everyone to have 2 accounts (one to push, one to review) and find a way to avoid users reviewing it themselves with their own account (unless the honour system works in your company), I'm not sure this will help you sufficiently: Gitlab workflow, forcing code review or merge request on branch. — Mast 38 secs ago

OK, I understand the issue with macro-enabled Excel files. However, I think in this case a code review won't take very long, as the whole thing is less than 300 lines. To assist in code reviews if anyone is interested, I have uploaded all the VBA code as text files (Module1.txt and This Workbook.txt to my google drive site, available using this link: drive.google.com/drive/folders/…user3765883 41 secs ago
