Q: Worst-Case Scenario

In this case, also describe how an autocompletion should proceed on this data structure. Also estimate ...

If you try and write some code and have problems/errors, then it may be easier to help. Even if you have some complete code that works, you could then use codereview.stackexchange.com for some more in depth analysis of your code. Some people may currently take this question as asking others to write the code for you. — Nigel Ren 27 secs ago

Quwstion, does anyone know where codereview.stackexchange.com/questions/244987/… belongs?

10:46 AM
I mean, where can you ask big O analysis questions?

I’m voting to close this question because this question belongs to codereview.stackexchange.comaxiac 14 secs ago
@axiac "my second regex seems to be broken", codereview does not accept questions that are not working as intended. — tieskedh 53 secs ago
It seems like a codereview question, but in order to be one the code needs to be working as intended... — tieskedh 26 secs ago

@cellepo, while reviewing, I had doubt about it too, but it's not a fit for codereview: codereview.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/8373/… I — tieskedh 18 secs ago

@tieskedh Probably not on SE. Probably not on many places, because "giv meh answrers plz" just aren't great questions

haha, I know that.
He did do some effort (the code is in reality a chunk of code some text and then what he did himself.

Where's their attempt at finding the big-O?
Am I blind?

below I think that the Worst Case would be the longest word in the searh tree.
So thats why we have a complexitiy of O(Q) (Q: the maximum length of a query)
the post is not welformed

If that were the only information on a math paper I'd get a 0 because there's no working outs
Even if it's correct

Depends on the scoring :-) but you're right.
It's a bare minimum
But what if he really has worked it out?
then it doesn't belong here according to the forum: https://codereview.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/8373/are-requests-to-analyze-the-complexity-of-code-on-topic

But is there a place where it does belong?

11:45 AM
I've already answered that question. Why not just send them your email?

Haha, you're right. Didn't look into the faded out answer very well ;-) In my case, I didn't do much with ig O
But thx!

11:59 AM
@tieskedh A for non-math guide to big O is just put a counter in the innermost level of the loop, graph the result and see which of 1, n, n^2, n^3, etc it joins

hmm, I wanted to be nice to an almost first time commenter... Just saw that my answer (which I admit i posted later as someone else beat me to it) was removed and a direct command was left...

For next time, I will place a strict command first and then make it friendly :-)

@tieskedh To be clear strict has negative connotations. If you are in any way planning on posting negative comments, please don't. It'd be better to take the time to type the friendly one or not post at all.

@Peilonrayz you're right. I don't mean strict but a formal answer

Can someone well-versed in BSTs tell me how this question looks now? It's Python, but should probably make sense as pseudo-code as well.

@Mast final[0] takes me back. Wow, did I mess up a project with that abuse.
Yeah, looks fine

@Peilonrayz Thanks, VTR'd.

Np. It's just pass-by-reference vs pass-by-value

After you fix the first problem (and the second problem if you want - but this is probably for a class which expects you to use variable length arrays, so you could just as well leave it) - head over to Code Review for a review of working code. — JohnFilleau 56 secs ago
