Yes, but it's like "We know who's going to fix it, he just hasn't got around working on it yet"

gah, won't load

But I guess it's already covered by the other tags.

Ok, looks like you're set.
No Status: On hold?
Pending means it hasn't started yet (IMO), On hold is when it was started but you're waiting for something.

@Mast Would postponed be a better one-worder?

Heck should I know, naming is hard.

Or delayed?

On hold is clear and standard I think.
Not?

10:06 PM
Idk, probably
I'll add it later as it comes along
Transfer to GitHub issues is complete btw: github.com/syb0rg/Khronos/issues
Only 3 are open, I feel more inclined to tackle them now too
Feel free to comment or put one of those emoji down

Zak
I want one
Though would be even better in death star form

Q: UIFont Expansion Code

Fredlo2010I wanted to expand the UIFont class in my application so I could use the Large/Medium/Small letters concept. I created but for some reason it looks weird. I finished it and it does what's is supposed to do but I am not happy with it. Usually when I have that feeling is because I am messing up bi...

Zak
Turns out magnetic-floating-deathstar-speakers are a thing if you feel like spending £140
£140 £165. Forgot. Brexit.

10:27 PM
Woohoo, I just created (and then found) a bug :D

Have you squashed it?
Or would you rather set it free?

Haven't squashed it just yet, got to run an errand soon
See if you can spot the bug (hint look at the results at the bottom): pastebin.com/Mh0FXXtB

If a question is tagged , does it make sense to tag it with as well or is that superfluous?

I am reviewing a code on CR. Tried to time the old function versus the new, however the old is too slow.

10:33 PM
@syb0rg ^^

@Mast What is ?

@Zak That looks seriously shiny.
@N3buchadnezzar A file you use for make and cmake.

Gotcha

Q: Iterative solution for generating all permutations of a string (Java)

fluffychaosI know the runtime for generating all permutations is supposed O(n!). I'm not sure if the code I wrote for it runs in O(n!) though. I'm having trouble analyzing its runtime. The for(char c: cArray) part is in O(n). What about for (String s: currResults) and for (int i = 0; i < s.length() + 1; i+...

@Phrancis did you get my message about the unit tests?

10:44 PM
@Vogel612 Yes, thank you, got the Github page open but haven't really looked through it yet

feel free to drop me a note when something's unclear. That code is a bit of a mess.

Q: Random RPG Battle System in Lua

DropdatderpThis is my battle system that I wrote in Lua. Bear with me on this one, this is my first real program that does something besides write hello world. If there is anything that I could have done differently, drop an answer down there and I will take your advice for my next program. Huge shoutout to...

@syb0rg @syb0rg fair enough, thanks for taking a look anyway.

@Mast Cmake uses make as well, so I'd say it's useful
It's a file vs a build system

What is the correct way to check if input is a positive integer?
try:
    num = int(num)
except ValueError:
    raise ValueError("Ops. Input must be an number")
if not num.is_integer():
    raise ValueError("Ops. Input must be a integer")
elif num < 1:
    raise ValueError("Ops. Input must be a positive integer")

10:56 PM
input & Integer.MIN_VALUE == Integer.MIN_VALUE
though that's a small problem with 0

@Mast I'm mobile btw so delayed responses from me

@N3buchadnezzar num.is_integer() && num > 0 would seem the obvious choice, but there's probably something better available.
>= 0 if you deem 0 acceptable, of-course.

@Mast I tried to split it to give the user some meaningful errormessages.
Also num.is_integer() throws me ironically an error.

@syb0rg No problem. The edit got declined, but perhaps it should be added anyway.
@N3buchadnezzar Either the input is valid or it is not. Why would you want to split that up?
Tell the user what is expected. Not what isn't expected.

@N3buchadnezzar not set(num) ^ set(string.digits) should fix that... But again no error message...

11:01 PM
huh?
try:
    int(num)
except ValueError:
    raise ValueError("Ops. Input must be a positive integer")
if int(num) != num or num < 1:
    raise ValueError("Ops. Input must be a positive integer")
@Mast This looks better?

@N3buchadnezzar Why num < 1?
You do not want 0?

Nah bro

Q: Auto Filter copy to Template

KEBMy Macro is copying only one row of data to the template for each unique record in the below code. Sub WritePews() Dim CPNum As String Dim PewType As String Dim r As Long`enter code here` Dim mydate As String Dim path As String Dim myfilename As String LastRow = Sheets("Data").Range("A" & Rows...

Zero is arguably a positive integer.
But yea, looks good.
Something on my laptop is doing ping and I have no clue what...

11:55 PM
What's the likelyhood that this for loop signature would get me lynched critiqued?
internal List<int> FindAllPalindromes(int[] nums)
{
    List<int> allPalindromes = new List<int>();
    for(int minNum = IntUtils.Pow(nums[0], 2), maxNum = IntUtils.Pow(nums[nums.Length - 1], 2);
        minNum <= maxNum;
        minNum++)
    {
        if (IntUtils.IsPalindrome(minNum))
        {
            allPalindromes.Add(minNum);
        }
    }
    return allPalindromes;
}

@Phrancis That looks quite nice actually.

It does...?

Project Euler #4?

Yes

Better than what I did...
def get_biggest_palindrome():
    biggest_palindrome = 0

    for i in xrange(100, 999):
        for j in xrange(100, 999):
            product = i * j
            product_string = str(product)
            if product_string == product_string[::-1]:
                if product >= biggest_palindrome:
                    biggest_palindrome = product
    return biggest_palindrome

print get_biggest_palindrome()
And yes, I know an xrange with maximum of 999 doesn't include 999 itself, but there's no palindrome to be found there anyway.
