4:00 AM
@Phrancis Back.
Can you send me screenshots of my latest CSS?

is something like this even possible
<ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
<local:SharedResourceDictionary Source="pack://application:,,,/Atelis.Base.Wpf.Resources;component/Buttons.xaml"/>
<local:SharedResourceDictionary Source="pack://application:,,,/Atelis.Base.Wpf.Resources;component/Colors.xaml"/>
</ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>

@Mehrad What are the ,,, for?

why this isn't get formatted ???
this is so ugly

Use CTRL-K.

No I mean here for you to see

4:06 AM
Just like code in question/answers.
<ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
    <local:SharedResourceDictionary Source="pack://application:,,,/Atelis.Base.Wpf.Resources;component/Buttons.xaml"/>
    <local:SharedResourceDictionary Source="pack://application:,,,/Atelis.Base.Wpf.Resources;component/Colors.xaml"/>
</ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>

I have the required space on the left though

Did you use CTRL-K?

thanks anyways. not sure what was wrong

I don't know.

I never do Ctrl+K. I just give 4 spaces on the left

4:08 AM
What are the ,,, for?

probably user wanted to shorten the path

Probably.
Never used that.
I don't know what it does/is possible.

but I mean I know the combination such as
<local:Foo x:Key="bar"/>

Oh, yeah - that is possible.

and also <ResourceDictionary Source="foo">

4:10 AM
Show you a bit of mine.

but this is a mix of both

I don't know about resourcedictionary.

Show me

    <Grid.Resources>
        <local:StringToTitleConverter x:Key="Convert" />
        <local:ThemeToForegroundConverter x:Key="ThemeToForeConvert" />
        <local:ThemeToLBStyleConverter x:Key="LBStylePick" />
        <local:ThemeToLBIStyleConverter x:Key="LBIStylePick" />
        <local:BoolToVisibility x:Key="BoolToVis" />
        <local:RevertVisibility x:Key="RevertVis" />
    </Grid.Resources>

this is how i do it normally

4:11 AM
And this is how it is used:

  <Window.Resources>
    <ResourceDictionary>
      <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
        <ResourceDictionary Source="MainWindowResources.xaml" />
      </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
      <converter:EnumMatchToBooleanConverter x:Key="enumConverter" />
      <converter:BooleanToVisibiltyConverter x:Key="myBooleanToVisibiltyConverter" />
    </ResourceDictionary>
  </Window.Resources>

<ListBox Name="Items" Grid.Column="0" Grid.RowSpan="2" ItemsSource="{Binding ItemList}" DisplayMemberPath="Title" SelectionChanged="OnSelectionChanged"
                 Tapped="Items_Tapped" Margin="-2,-2,0,-2" Style="{Binding Theme, Converter={StaticResource LBStylePick}}"
                 ItemContainerStyle="{Binding Theme, Converter={StaticResource LBIStylePick}}" Padding="0,10" SelectedItem="{Binding CurrentItem, Mode=TwoWay}" />
Excert:
ItemContainerStyle="{Binding Theme, Converter={StaticResource LBIStylePick}}"

I don't know why this guys blended two methods in one!!! I don't think it's even possible

I don't know - a lot of stuff is possible.

exactly. your method is totally legit

4:12 AM
It sure looks like his could be simplified.
Some people aren't as good as me though (not saying I'm good).

Q: How do I loop this CasperJS code?

thanks for Ctrl+K I didn't know about it
I select all and press tab :D

Does that work here?
I don't think it does.
What global epoch did the Thesaurus live in?
I should ask that on puzzling and see what answers (or close votes) I get.

@Hosch250 ^^ here you go. Last one for tonight, getting late

4:19 AM
Boooooo - still no stripes!
Thanks, @Phrancis.

NP
@Hosch250 Maybe this will inspire you, it's the original CSS for the Obsidian theme with the stripes. No guarantee it will work on my (different) setup but you're welcome to try it: code.google.com/p/google-code-prettify/source/browse/trunk/…

Thanks.

@Hosch250 if you mean the Tab, it sure does if you add a Tab or 4 spaces on front. but when it's multi line I do the select all and then Tab trick on the editor before I paste here

Oh, OK.
@Phrancis Could you check this tomorrow? pastebin.com/F0wpFxiP

@Mat'sMug I came across this question when I was looking for a solution to my own but it just felt wrong how he had the code in his question

ever used WPF in a class library project?

Nope

If it is wrong, just wait until you get -3 before deleting it - that way you at least get a badge.

hahah... I bet I got that badge already :P @Hosch250 neat trick though

@Mehrad except once or twice a while ago, the only times I've used WPF were all in class library projects, always with several architectural constraints that limited what I could do - like using resource dictionaries ;)

4:31 AM
fair enough
thanks for having a look though

np

promise you'll do more WPF

I somewhat borked the Rubberduck UI layer; I might try to see if I could embed a WPF container in the WinForms user controls.. but I've no idea how the VBE would react to that (they're dockable windows, implementing COM interfaces)
but yeah I need more WPF in my life ;)
anyway cheers!

I honestly don't know how you guys are pushing that project in WinForms

The windows are controlled by the VBE, and it's COM
They dock into the VBA IDE, like the native IDE windows do (solution explorer, object browser, immediate window, watches, etc.)
I prefer a WinForms UI that integrates with the host environment, over a WPF UI that completely clashes visually, and doesn't integrate into the IDE!
That said maybe it's possible to do with WPF, I haven't tried.
TTGTB now

4:45 AM
@Mat'sMug sounds reasonable
have a good one mate

@Mehrad Why do Australians use Mate, while Americans use Buddy?

I donno dude

I don't remember what the British use, but they have a distinct-ish one too.

mate is British and most of Ozs are British

Descended from British get-rich-quicks and jailbirds who weren't bad enough to be hung.

4:48 AM
I don't use it often. I am not an Australian anyways and English is my 4th language so I try to be in the common grounds and be understandable

But, you could be hung for almost anything back then.
Guard: "Name XYZ - Crime"
Judge: "Guilty - death by hanging"
Prisoner: "I'm innocent!"
Judge: "Then why are you here?"

Basically. however, my gf is an Ozy and her ancestors where actually quite educated and decided to come over here for the better weather conditions I guess

End.
Prisoner was dragged in by the scruff of his neck.

hahaha...

Oh, after Judge says "death by hanging", the Audience applauds.

hey @Donald.McLean

Greetings,

@Donald.McLean Can I ask you a question about how you would implement something? (Have 2 options and don't know what to take)

@chillworld Sure, though I don't make quality guarantees at 1:30am.

that's no problem, the implementation I can do for myself ;)
so I hava a view in the DB (read only) where I have all the info from a let's say driver.

6:33 AM
In th eview I have 1 string more : OCCUPIED, WAITING, NOT WORKING
how do you implement it in classes, 3 different driver classes on a discriminator or 1 driver class with enum?
I should show the result in tabs, 1 tab for each enum status
it's a good question, but I can't ask it on CR cause I haven't written the code yet ;)

Using separate classes is something that should be done only when any other solution would be clearly worse. In this case, the enum will work just fine.

oke thx, that was what I preffered but I was questioning the OO principals that I should work with abstract class and 3 implementations

No, occupied, waiting, not working is state.

indeed

Plus, the other way would mean that an object could change from one class to another, and I just don't think that would be kosher.

6:42 AM
it's a view
we can't write to the view and the view is every 3 minutes updated
we use it to have an overview first of compagny and see how many there are actualy working
and if you go to the details => you will see who is working, who is waiting and who is not working
but you did helped me much

timerTaskInstance.state
public abstract class TimerTask implements Runnable {
    /**
     * The state of this task, chosen from the constants below.
     */
    int state = VIRGIN;

Calling the .state property gives illegal access?

1:31 PM
how should I put it

@nhgrif it's not public

it's a private field

no, it's package-private - "default" visibility

Oh
So there's no way to determine if it is scheduled?

there is...

1:33 PM
@Pimgd Any reason you are not using an ExecutorService ?

   Field f = task.getClass().getSuperclass().getDeclaredField("state");
   f.setAccessible(true);
   System.out.println(f.get(task));
@SimonAndréForsberg what's the difference?

@DJanssens Fun! Fun! Fun!

hmmmmz

@Pimgd - what are you trying to solve with the TimerTask?

It... doesn't let me know if it has been scheduled, though.

o/ @rolfl

@Pimgd Well, that's an unnecessary requirement
If you scheduled it, it's scheduled.

If I try to schedule it again, what happens?

@Pimgd when you schedule it, you get a Future back. If you have a Future, it is scheduled.

1:41 PM
If you put it in a ScheduledExecutorService, it's scheduled.

If I unschedule it, I still have a Future.

Future.isCancelled
@Pimgd What is the context here? What is the actual task you want to schedule?

@SimonAndréForsberg What? Why? The people on scifi will be very disappointed.
2

When list != empty -> perform status check on all list elements every 10 seconds -> filter for bad status -> replace bad status list elements with new ones

More importantly, ScheduledFuture

1:43 PM
public void run()
        {
            synchronized (lockObject)
            {
                for (Tunnel reopeningTunnel : reopeningTunnels)
                {
                    if (!reopeningTunnel.isOpen())
                    {
                        reopeningTunnel.reopen();
                    }
                }
            }
        }

@Pimgd when you scheduled on a ScheduledExecutorService you get a ScheduledFuture back.

Well, that's annoying. Load one context - it works. Load two - it doesn't.

@SimonAndréForsberg Possible, but I'm not sure how. That's the whole point of a context - it's a mostly self-contained object pool.
