If anyone here, in group 15, why does melting point increase upto arsenic, and the decrease upto bismuth??

@Akari Well.. Melting point is an interplay of intermolecular forces and lattice energy.. As we move down,Van der Waals forces increase and metallic character goes up.. So it should generally increase but if the aton becomes too big,again lattice starts weakening.. But this is again a "reason after result" thing.. And it's not easy to predict when the change in order will occur
