I missed the question period, and I'm not sure this is so much a question for the new candidates as for the current mods anyway, but I was wondering about time zone coverage. I get the impression that the current mods are mostly from Europe and US time zones, do we have anyone from Asia/Australia?

@nengel This is probably my fault. I did ask that question four years ago. academia.meta.stackexchange.com/a/947/546 I did not ask it this time for some reasons.

Thanks @scaaahu! That answers my questions about the current mods at least (and seems to confirm my impression). Someone to cover my side of the planet would be nice, but probably not so important that it would change my vote... at least given the current candidates. Let's see what other nominations show up.
@nengel Would you mind telling me your time zone?
I'm in UTC+8 (Hong Kong).
@nengel Okay. We are in the same zone.

@nengel I think a couple of us have since changed timer zones. I am pretty sure we are all east coast us now.

@scaaahu why haven't you nominated yourself?

I think @StrongBad and @aeismail have had good and positive activity during their moderation period and Academia.SX will miss them if they don't nominate again. Of course, I am not sure whether the regulations allow continuous periods of moderation or not.

@EnthusiasticEngineer All the current moderators are staying on. The election is for one new moderator to help lighten the work load a little bit and make sure we have good coverage when some of us are busy.

@EnthusiasticEngineer Moderatorship is for life or until you resign or get sacked. If you look at the election page, you will notice that this election is only for one position.

@nengel I'm a night owl in US PST.

@nengel I'm in Italy, which is UTC+1.
