How many people typically nominate for this in this exchange?

@FredDouglis The archived page of the 2014 elections shows that there were 6 candidates (I don't think there were other elections before).

Thanks. Wasn't sure where that was. I guess another question is, what are the expectations? I'm sure to some extent that is a meta-type question applying across SE, but for academia, it would have its own issues and such. I was really active on ASE from when I first encountered it until late last summer. When I left that job I stopped paying attention for some time, and I've been more sporadic since then. But I think the forum is very valuable and would be interested in supporting it ....
... if the time commitment isn't too burdensome.
OK, from the 2014 discussion, I see that (a) mods tend to have much higher reputation and (b) there's an expectation of much higher involvement in the meta site, which is something that in the past I didn't find very useful/relevant. So, probably not my cup of tea. Thanks again @MassimoOrtolano

@FredDouglis: There is not nearly that much meta activity. Most of the duties fall under management of the main site. As for level of activities, there are different levels possible, depending on schedule. I might spend five or ten minutes some days, and an hour on the busiest days.
