@hola I think the overall picture would look similar to the magnetic field of a circular loop. You can compute the field by hand, can't you? You'd have circular field lines going around each side of the square carrying the current cylindrically. However there indeed would be some sort of discontinuity at the corner points, I am guessing
only a physicist would do that

@Phase Things that are not rigorous are not necessarily shallow. There is value in rigour, but progress in physics is often not made by adhering to rigour - we blunder ahead, and care about rigour only later. I stand by what I said a while ago:
