@Slereah Really depends on where you live. In the US there are realtively few places where it is easy to get on without a car. Europe looks a lot different to me when I'm there.
@dmckee Well, I dislike the taste of alcohol enough that I've probably had 5 shots worth in my life. And I've been sick once in the last 10 years (and that was food poisoning).
And I have a theory that the duration of musical notes are quantized
Specifically, there is essentially a minimum duration a note can have and our perception of music uses this fact to interpret the relations between the notes
@ACuriousMind do u think this is an appropriate usage of the term "quantized"?
@StanShunpike I prefer to say "discretized" for things that are supposed to take discrete values and "quantized" for the quantum version of classical things, but that's my idiosyncratic terminology.
I will have to think carefully what word to use. I dislike using physics terms generally because it often leads to abusing the physics ideas themselves. E.g. quantum consciousness or other such nonsense
@0celo7 Sure. I don't care for the taste of crustaceans, mollusks and about half the mushrooms I've tried. And though I have good color discrimination (I pass all the color blindness test and the Pantone shade-ordering test easily), the frequency range I see is slightly more restricted than normal so that there are some spectral lines I can't see that most people can.
