Please implement algebra DEFCON levels. MATHCON, if you will.
MATHCON 1 is when someone criticizes Euler or Gauss.

Hi, everybody.

Hi Doctor Nick!

Heheh.
That's Dr. Sank to you ;-)

hello Dr. Sank =)
how might your day be going?

Hi!
It's going rather well.

that's great =)

11:30 PM
I just gave a group meeting presentation and someone asked a good question.
Tell your Dad I'm almost done with the schematic for my first ever pcb project!
I even worked in an inside joke between Bernardo and me in the presentation ;-)
How is your day?

Daniel is turning this place into a real life friend club :D

@Danu Eh?
Is that a really indirect way of saying that I'm friendly?

Referring to the fact that you already met four of us, I think.

ah yes
I would like to meet more.

@DanielSank pretty decent! I'm working with a group of friends right now on a debate we're doing for language arts. we've got some pretty good arguments =)

11:34 PM
@DanielSank YOU FIGURE IT OUT

@heather Nice.
I love debating.
@Danu ::shoots cloud of ink and runs away!!::

yes, debating is fabulous! it's like formal arguing, and I love arguing with people =P

@heather Me too. @ACuriousMind has been subject to this from me a bit lately...
I find debate a very good way to learn things.

yes!

This has been a problem for me though.
I debate strongly because if an idea is accepted or rejected, I want to be confident in that decision.
This is often construed as aggression, which is not helpful.
A coworker once commented to me that he was surprised how easily I am willing to accept a new point of view, because given how strongly I debate, he figured I would never change my mind on anything.
In fact it's the opposite: if someone makes a good argument for something that runs against my previously held opinion, I will replace the old opinion with the new one.

11:42 PM
You're a good scientist then.

@JaimeGallego I sure hope so because they gave me the club membership card.

@DanielSank me too.

11:54 PM
I've been having the good ol' crisis over choosing engineering, physics, or mathematics for college. Most of you can probably relate.
Debating that here, however... There might be a little bias
