The teacher said she is teaching about finite difference, and that the first thing we need to know is the following (bold caps are matrices and small letters are vectors) mathematical object defined to satisfy the following:
1. $\mathbf{M}\mathbf{c}=r(forgot)\mathbf{c}$
where $r=0$ implies $\mathbf{M}=\mathbf{O}$ (zero matrix)
2. $\Lambda\Lambda-\Lambda\Lambda$ which endows a geometry to the algebra
