@ton.yeung If you're trying to watch it quickly, you might get bored, but I don't know anyone who finished the whole series and thought it was anything less than magnificent. I recommend watching 1 episode per week. Maybe less. If you're watching more than 1 episode per day you're definitely doing it wrong.

I used to have a really pretty picture of Alice while she was sleeping, but I think it's on a different machine. I guess that one will have to wait for the next time we post pictures of cute girls.

@LoganM i plan to watch 1 - 2 hours worth a day when i get to watch it, is that doing it wrong too

@Memor-X I definitely wouldn't recommend that. Everyone I know who tried to do that got bored a few episodes in and dropped it.

If you are going to do that at least watch some other stuff inbetween episodes.

:12128837 well how i watch anime is on weekdays after i get back from work i watch 3 - 4 episodes before going onto C.C and play Visual Novels
on weekends if i have more than an hour before lunch i'll 6 episodes before playing games on the PS3, PS2 or 360 till 4:00PM before i jump off, fix the animals food and turn onto the new while starting up C.C for visual novels (and lately getting minecraft to work again)
otherwise i'll just watch 3 episodes before lunch

Dragonball Z put me too sleep after 6 episodes with Namick

You can always watch other things at the same time. That's what I did when I wached it.

I'm in IT Development, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, i leave home at 7:30AM so i get in by 8:00 AM and when i leave at 5:00 PM i get home by 5:30, i also do indie game development so i'm not always playing games/watching anime however lately i've been waiting on ARCed to be released so i can use it's native Zoom system to improve the cutscenes

We don't really use them in physics much. They're more useful for things like computer graphics.

@ton.yeung Havok is used in alot of games as the base physics engine (Half-Life 2 for example), i would probably use it and add RPG elements to it but Unity has got a good physics engine itself, and it automatically stores physics information into objects in the scene, not sure if Havok does that

How come the "what is an omake" question downvoted so much? Isn't it a legitimate question?

A puzzle game where you have to fill a room with blocks using 2d and 3d mode!

@ton.yeung was used as a Game Engines Assignment when i was in University, had to make a game using it, if you've seen the angry bots example it comes with i took the character of that, stuck him in a Metal Gear Solid 2 VR Space with some diamonds that shot back and had RPG Elements where he would gain a level after killing so many and a magical bullets which consumes MP which dealt more damage, lagged on my teacher's computer if he had physics on lol

@Krazer but isn't that the case with a lot of questions? And omake is a staple of Anime, just like many of the other questions related to trope.

Almost every question on this stack exchange can be googled. Sure there isn't a wikipedia page for the specific questions, but google will bring you to some forum link where some educated person provides a post with detailed arguments and proof. I don't really see where the line is drawn between questions that are "plastered all over the internet" and the ones that aren't.

IMO if your question is "What is X?" and X already has a Wikipedia article answering it in more depth than we're going to, it's too basic.

And almost every anime has their own special wikia page, which answers most of the questions

If the question was about where did the concept of "omake" originate and how it caught on. That's a perfectly legitimate question to ask here

@ton.yeung normally when i do a search on it (manga) or (tv) is the first result, first result is an announcement of it, first link to a anime or Manga is Dream Eater Merry (Yumekui Merry)

FWIW I'm also not sure why the answer there is upvoted, considering it just copies text from other sources. Not that it's wrong, but it's pretty trivial.

I keep reading the argument that "it's their site, they can do whatever they want with it. you're just a user and have no say in their business matters". But I don't think it's an okay attitude towards it. I mean we all essentially chose youtube to be the default video browser of the internet...

5 or so years ago youtube and a bunch of other video sites popped up, but we all gravitated towards youtube because it was the easiest and best one to use.

Now youtube is essentially the permanent/default video browser on the internet and it'd be almost impossible to create a viable alternative website

Allot of series these days have either ecchi scenes or even whole fan service episodes. Some series use this for comedic moments and some for story purposes. But if I look at for example freezing I don't see any added value to it. What Do ecchi scenes add to a series if not for comedic or story ...

@sakomoto I don't dislike anime per se, but one of the key reasons I like manga is that the flexibility of the "medium" can be put to creative use, and that can give you the chills. For example, the author may use the full page to describe an epic scene, or split it into vertical or horizontal frames, which adds to the beauty. I present to you this: http://imgur.com/9RcrQdO.
This scene did not have the same impact on me in the anime.
