Main difference if Obama was in power is the POTUS wouldn't be actively escalating things.

Obama had 8 years in office and never addressed the issue of corruption in law enforcement, while this kind of shit was happening, so it's not like 4 more years would've made a difference.

Essentially: flight was too high and too fast on the approach. Because they were overspeed, the landing gear did not deploy. Pilots either did not hear or ignored several master warnings about improper landing configuration, and GPWS gear and flaps warnings. The captain noticed that they weren't slowing down because the gear wasn't on the ground, and initiated a go around, but the engines struck the ground during the go-around, causing an oil and hydraulic leak.
