@Unionhawk yeh i read about that. the kid is lucky he didn't get hurt because of the kind of people who were there aswell
but yeh fuck Anning and his dictum blaming. i do look forward to see how our parliament censures him this week (both PM and Opposition Leader have condemned what he said and have said this week they will censures him in parliament)

> Milo Yiannopoulos has been banned from entering Australia for a tour following his comments regarding the Christchurch terror attack.

imagine being too racist for austrailia (also this happened a few weeks ago iirc)

> "They say I owe $2m. I don't! It's at least $4m. Do you know how successful you have to be to owe that kind of money?"
@Unionhawk i hope that's more a "Australia lets everyone have their say" and not "Australia is racist". if it's the latter we really need to clean that view up somehow

12:44 AM
@Memor-X It's perhaps a stereotype that's made worse by people like bari weiss and others fleeing to austrailia to write vacuous pieces about how cool it is, and also the refugee island

Still very unclear why that kangaroo beat up that parachutist but did not take out Bari Weiss tbh

I'm going to be honest all I know about austrailian politics for sure is you have three parties: the labor party (spelled the american way), the liberal party (conservatives), and the national party (which has been described as "the liberal party with a cowboy hat on")
And that anti-inmigrant stuff is a strong tendency

1:00 AM
@Unionhawk if you're talking about the off-shore processing to be honest i'm for those. just that we could do alot more like put doctors on those islands, improve conditions and try and speed up the process without sacrificing security or improving the immigration/asylum process so that so many wont have to do it illegally by paying people smugglers

All of the interpretations I have are....unfavorable.

@Unionhawk u wut m8

tactile - adjective: (of a person) given to touching other people, especially as an unselfconscious expression of sympathy or affection.

"he took her in his arms—he's a very tactile person"
ie. "I’m a tactile politician, always have been. That’s what gets me in trouble as well (because i keep touching people where/when they don't want me)"

4:59 AM
@Unionhawk yep, though this one in that moment looks like he's going to snap her neck

I regret to inform you that the president is at it again this morning

Iowa voter stands: "I love Joe Biden. I think he’s served this country well. But I want youth…I hope he doesn’t get in." Beto O’Rourke: “I have to disagree a bit. I think if Vice President Biden gets into the race, I think we could use his perspective."
🤔

On this St. Paddy's Day, a special message from noted Irishman Robert Francis O'Rourke.

Has anyone mentioned the flooding in Nebraska?

6:25 PM
@TimStone lol

7:59 PM
@RedRiderX i was very suprised the big Mississippi flooding in February left unspoke

My concept of time is still a little off, did talk of the flooding get eclipsed by the tornadoes?
Or was that a different natural disaster?

Um probably
2019 has been a weather-awful year for Mississippi ovetall

8:27 PM
@Wipqozn Of note is the fact this is a payment awarded to a single person, the largest payment yet I think.

Bulgarian police used pepper spray against protesters in front of parliament, but didn't take the wind direction into account https://t.co/4LVgqrnWV1 #Bulgaria #protests

First crowd of police to force themselves to disperse?

Everyone was so quick to attack him. Now I'm not sure

Many of us spent days & days in 2017 arguing that the 👌🐸 racists were real, that they were dangerous, that their "irony" was a ploy. We were told again & again that we were crazy, that it was all a joke, we just didn't understand memes, we'd succumbed to paranoid delusions.
