Basically
Cool story

1. Sell sun dimming device
2. Profit
3. Crop yields fall, war breaks out
4. Profit
5. Attempt to steal candy from a baby, get shot in the process

Not like, they donated before, they donated yesterday 🤔
40 million people with diabetes will be left without insulin by 2030, a new study predicts https://cnn.it/2RdoAg7
If the wording of the tweet led you to believe we were somehow unable to produce enough insulin, lol, no, no it's just $$$

Yes, and insulin, as it turns out, is very cheap to manufacture in fact!
Which is why it's, weird, that it's outpaced inflation, considering nothing has changed in the process
I wonder if there's a critical lens with which we can analyze this because I'm stumped

You'll be happy to know that CNN refuses to go there
At least the person they quoted tried to, though
> Insulin treatment is expensive and the market is currently dominated by three manufacturers, according to the study.
"Ah, well, guess there is nothing to be done or questioned about that"
NASA's culture is tangled up with the historic record of federal statutes, including those on marijuana. @marinakoren reports on NASA's decision to review SpaceX and Boeing http://on.theatln.tc/re81gdA
On the one hand that's dumb and bad but on the other hand lol Elon
Papadopoulos is spending his last few days before prison picking Twitter fights, amazing

My dear friend and comrade @socialistdogmom is doing a daily podcast about the trial of the #A12 murdering Nazi in Charlottesville that you should absolutely give a listen to. https://soundcloud.com/wtju/the-trial-of-james-alex-fields-episode-zero-nov-24?in=wtju/sets/the-trial-of-james-alex-fields

There's been a lot of talk about the missionary killed by the natives of North Sentinel Island. They're probably so aggressive because of this weirdo, Maurice Vidal Portman. So here's a big thread about this creep and some facts from my decade-long obsession with the island.
@TimStone lol hill picture person has a competitor

user15026
@GodEmperorDune well that's fucking awful

@Ash yeah colonizers overall are pretty fuct but this guy... whew

The large and violent French protests don’t take into account how badly the United States has been treated on Trade by the European Union or on fair and reasonable payments for our GREAT military protection. Both of these topics must be remedied soon.
WTF is that even suppoosed to mean?

It's just the value for shareholders cartoon
Thankfully Santorum has an even dumber rake
CNN's Rick Santorum praises Trump administration trying to bury report on climate change: "A lot of these scientists are driven by the money" https://t.co/ndwpkQHUxH
It's true, they're motivated to get more money by not dying, excellent detective work there

6:19 PM
By framing it as, "Doing this means we make less money", simplifies the discussion to, "Less money, or more money". Who cares about truth.

6:46 PM
Indeed
Who counts as a family? According to @cvspharmacy, all parents must share the same last name as their child. Some developer added an if-check, probably without thinking about it too much, and ended up codifying their own cultural norms into the medical system.
"Developers, developers, developers", but with smh

@TimStone ummm wat
this was a dumb requirement

Indeed

and if it can't handle legal guardians, i think that might be legal trouble for them

Somebody missed a req check somewhere.
I would bet the developer actually asked their boss about that.

@TimStone as predicted by everyone except twitter trolls
@TimStone goddamn
@TimStone only the best people

9:16 PM
@TimStone uh, couldn't this be considered an act of war?

1 hour later…
10:39 PM
@Wipqozn I don't think anyone would go that far, but it's certainly a violation of sovereignty if you take any action on the other side of the border.
It's interesting that border patrol is allowed to use tear gas. Most military uses are generally not allowed as far as I know, due to chemical weapons conventions.

@MadScientist cops here use tear gas on protesters so i'm sadly not surprised that border patrol would do it too
it's a jerk move, nonetheless

Police can use it, but it's generally not allowed for the military. And once you're close to the border, I'm surprised that it's not prohibited

nothing matters though so it's fine

cops, man

The military trains with the IDF, and the border patrol probably trains with them
so you know
standard procedure
I suppose technically the US/Mexico border is less made up
but

11:37 PM
I also find it really cool that people are going at this like"maybe the agent didn't know that tear gas spreads through a whole crowd"
No I'm going to go with they train on it and know precisely what is happening

11:53 PM
@Unionhawk That classic crowd dispersal tool the gas that stays in one specific place
I mean, carbon-wise, yes, but uhh
> The plan calls for the conversion of residential natural gas pipes to higher-pressure pipes that can move hydrogen gas. Although hydrogen gas tends to be flammable at a wider range of temperatures than natural gas, the report states that "a 100 percent hydrogen gas grid represents an acceptable risk compared to the current natural gas grid."
Let's hope the UK gas firms are better at that whole "not causing the system to explode" thing than we are

Or the "not knowing how to open manholes" problem
While union workers stand there and yell "hey idiot have you considered that there is a tool whose one job is to open those"
"no? ok"
