There was a girl that started to work at my job i found her attractive and become her friend first then later on i told her i liked her, she never all she said was "oh that's nice" i later found out that she was talking to another guy that was working with us and then i stayed away from her for a...
@lila I saw it, thank you for the compliment! :p And yeah the worm has some unexpected effects on our brains, as it's taking a toll on our mental health and overall well-being ... Thank life for internet, or else I'd feel quite lonely right now
@avazula I'm doing nicely :) Though I just learn that one of my coworker that I bounded with is leaving the company in a week (their contract ended) and it makes me a bit sad :(
Also, I wish it was way quicker to write a book because I want to read what happens next in all my favorite books ><
(Really good books are so amazing, I just want more)
@avazula Since you love bees as well, I got a bee joke for you.
> I went to the pet shop and asked for 12 bees The clerk counted out 13 bees and handed them over. "You've given me one too many" I said. "That one is a freebie"
@avazula Hum, I may have read it when I was younger (this one or another one from the same author). What I remember about? It was weird, I didn't really understand half of things and I decided after that that Philip K. Dick was not an author for me ^^

what a strange question on SO stackoverflow.com/questions/64023188/… Someone asks something with an obviously flawed code. 2 downvotes for this, but 6 answers. And finally the question gets closed for a completely arbitrary reason
@avazula So I just told this coworker that I was on the autism spectrum and they told me they were wondering if them were on it too. I told them that I think it's a strong possibility that they are indeed and then we literaly spend one full hour talking about that (even though I was very much suppose to work ^^)
Anyway, I gave this coworker a lot of ressource about autisme. I also gave them advice and responded to there questions and it was very cool to be able to help them, a (probably) fellow autistic person :D
that's amazing @Ael! A coworker of mine got diagnosed recently after I told him about my autism and he realized we shared a lot of similarities on the spectrum.
@AJ That's what happens when I am "too" happy. I feel the urge to give hugs and kisses so I usually end up giving those to: the book I am currently reading/a random pillow/one of my teddy bears/even the back of my hand sometimes
I'm good. I returned to TAS recently after moderating behind the scenes for a while and a two weeks vacation. Feels good to see everyone again. How have you been doing?
Exactly! After my vacation I tried to cut all things that distract me... and failed miserably. Turns out my brain needs a lot of different inputs to produce its best work (?) Some people are like that apparently.
Well, Iv'e been a busy bee - a marriage doesn't plan itself. New games have come out that I love, and I am already planning another big event for a friend group
I started playing video games recently (I won't dare to say "again" because when I last played Steam wasn't even really a thing already). I still have a hard time with board games, but it's getting better
5 contestants (usually known comedians) have to solve many strange tasks while being filmed. Then later they get together and another guy judges their performances
@kscherrer Haha yes, I was thinking I am probably the smallest moderator, but I once found a moderator with even smaller reputation of about 700. But yes, let me introduce myself: hi I am a smol moderator ^.^
@avazula In the past I had never cared a thing about beekeeping, of course I knew how important bees are, etc. but I never seen anything to it, but a few years ago I started watching one of my favourite content creators - mostly because of his videos of playing around with interesting chemicals, precious metals refining and bio-experiments with shrimp tanks - but he is also a fanatic beekeeper, his playlist has 109 videos about this, since then I am always so sympathetic to all beekeepers :D
@avazula I've for example learnt from him that if you want to help beehives survive and you place sugar water inside the hive then bees use it only if they really need it because treat it as if it was a frame of honey, but if you place it in external place then bees have incentive to get it fast before bees from other hives, so it's better to place it outside if you want to prevent sugar water from spoiling. And he was putting marbles in that sugar water to prevent bees from drowning ...
@avazula ... and I think it was somewhat cute ^.^
@avazula I mean I assume you know all this about bees, but I'm telling you that because I want to impress you ^.^
Some topics are too important to talk about. The most obvious in 2020 America would be being white talking about black lives matter. However, taboo topics extend well beyond title IX minorities; here are a few that can be relevant to one's quality of life:
