@AGirlHasNoName I used different names before this one. When I saw faq by Shog9, I changed the name to Nog Shine for pun. Later I didn't have to change the name again.
@AGirlHasNoName I just received a lovely kitten picture from SE Inc. along with a lovely message. Long story short: they do care about us and it feels good to know that you are hear.
For the record, when you compare it to other LGBT+ answers, it's really not bad. I was afraid it would be worse. By comparison, this one is +53; -41 = 12
@AGirlHasNoName Yeah, a public message would be nice too. This private message means I don't mind waiting extra longer, but I know a lot of people out there don't feel that way
Thank you for writing to us about this. This isn’t our final response here, but in the interest of being transparent and keeping lines of communication open, we wanted to respond with something as soon as possible. While this isn’t the answer you’ve been looking for, we wanted to update you on so...
@user58 While you're here... now that you're no longer a mod, I feel we kinda need to ask: You've helped out a lot with moderating this room in the past, would you welcome RO powers here? :)
Hi I hope you're doing well in your life! And this answer might be relatable to OP too. Can you add a bit about how to use the nerd behaviour in conversation? Looking forward to a cool example :) — ankii59 secs ago

@Tinkeringbell I'm more concerned about the magnitude of the evil that you have given the authority to . . . uh, have an italic name, and . . . uh . . . have an italic name, and
@ankii Did you flag? I don't have the energy to comment right now, but I probably will when it shows up in the review queue (but will be very greatful if someone else decide to comment
@ankii "nerd" and "cool" are not really descriptive terms to inquire someone about. You need to be more specific about what they should elaborate in their answer.
@ankii A double blind study with 9000 participants over a span of 9 years to explain what "nerdish behavior" is, with 103 references and three pages of acknowledgements and some licensing.
Anything less comprehensive and BURN WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE
@ankii Oh, sorry, I thought you were asking for someone to add an additional comment with relevant links ^^' Well, the tone of your comment is very friendly (which is really great), I think it's lacking a link to a relevant meta though (like the one about "how do I write a good answer"). Also, being a bit more specific could have help, but I struggle myself with being specific so I don't know what more specific thing you could have said instead ^^
I used to have (should still have, but have no clue where it is) a book titled 'Ik kan tekenen' (I can draw), that had a lot of these step by step tutorials on how to draw stuff. From cars to animals to dinosaurs. These sketches remind me of that :D
@Tinkeringbell yup they introduced this recently.. I tried using ublock origin to block the banner, but they jammed scrolling too. I don't want to mess with javascript there..
Oh dear, I just post something on The Tavern of Meta and I feel terrified. I'm afraid someone is going to jump at my throat anytime now and scream "CENSORSHIP!!!"
@Ælis As a regular, being brutally honest, I'm a bit suspicious of the random people that pop in and suddenly opine on a topic, or reply to someone, because these days it has almost invariably caused polarization and drama
Plus when your starting message is seriousish, you're bound to get a serious reply
So unless you have the stamina of bearing the burden of a heavy online debate with someone potentially very stubborn or even ignorant, I wouldn't recommend it
Of course, I'm not talking about myself since I've seen you here, but other folks might feel that way.
@Ælis it's one of the best defenses a troll can have: disrupt coordinated countermeasures. While directly asking for flags has been frowned upon on SE for quite a while, I think some people may have been using that in their defense lately and I dislike that too :(
@M.A.R. It is, especially with such sensitive subjects.. but disagreement doesn't get to be rude. I think the post instating MSE mods also referred to that...
@M.A.R. All of them, lately? I had to spend 2,5 weeks just thinking through stuff before I even felt I could live with moderating MSE at this point in time. But just because I have the restraint to stay mostly silent, doesn't mean others process their feelings the same way :/
@M.A.R. heh. I have done that with some of it too. I can hack into it later. The most important stuff is figured out though, I hope. Or I'll crash and burn in 6-8 weeks time. We'll see ;)
