Q: Is kindness to only certain groups still kindness?

My friends and I had a conversation where one guy said that he considered himself kind. But only showed his kindness towards the "cute girls". I asked him why he was kind to only the cute ones and he replied "Those are the ones I want attention from" Does this still make him kind?
