@ElizB home now, it went well - put my foot down a bit, and we all had a decent time. It helped that my 9 month old nephew charmed the heck out of all of us
i have a new neice, my sister gave birth to a girl, named her Juliet Dynai M. She is so fricking adorable. just about almost 3 months old, september 11th. born June 11
Supposed to be born on my birthday
just a few days before the 11th
@ash i loved holding my new niece and just watching her attempt to control her body, so funny. she has loads and loads of dark hair just like her mom did when she was born
@AJ Thanks, i wish she was closer. I live in NY and she lives in Michigan. Quite a distance apart. Her lifestyle choice isn't the easiest either. Her boyfriend/fiance (don't quite know for sure) works on a farm out there, and it's financially hard for her
@Ash oh yes. their eyes darting everywhere and staring at you, and figuring out how to make sounds are funny
Juliet is just about successful in laughing and cooing so far, and she's got the crying down pat of course
I was cleaning less when I still lived with my parents then I am now
But it feels easier now because it's on my terms and my routine (eg. every Saturday I mop and vacuum the floor, do the laundry and clean the kitchen/bath), so now it feels like no effort at all.
Yeah. I don't mind cleaning all that, but I do get mad if it takes longer than usual because someone else has made a mess
E.g. we use to dry off the faucet in the shower after showering, or the drying water will leave marks. If people (brothers!) don't do that, I'll be spending more time cleaning that stuff on Saturdays :(
Background
I have a friend for almost three years now, we are both 24 y.o, we have been always so close and even if we live far away from each other (+9000km) we have been talking every single day since we part ways.
I have been to his country (in South America) to visit him in 2017 and he has ...
@Belle-Sophie Usually, that's a contact us thing (bottom of the page) or if you think it's a bug, you could search/ask on main meta: meta.stackexchange.com
I tried making a separate account on WP to ask a sensitive question for hubby that could potentially get him fired if not sued if the company finds out it is him that asked the question. But it seems that it just split my logins or something, so my WP account now has a separate login, but still has my old questions on, while I wanted a completely new account.
I just moved to a new city for my master studies. I met a man via a social website who is already living here and he offered to rent me his two room appartment for a year while he was studying abroad, then there would be a possibility to extent my stay until the end of my studies but we would sha...
Maybe it's the employer who gets it's about them :P
The company from my question tried to get me to work for them in an office position. Nope, no way, not with how they treat their warehouse employees. The friend from the question has no choice and is accepting the job. He loses his unemployment benefits if he doesn't.
There are many posts on social media that are a load of rubbish and just plain factually incorrect. They often end in “if you don’t share a fairy will die” or some such nonsense having bad luck. I usually just ignore them because it’s not worth the effort of entering a discussion with the person ...
I know there are a lot of "how to tell a guy I am not interested" posts but this is slightly different due to:
I am interested
I want to keep going to the cafe he works at
I am in an open relationship
Background:
My boyfriend and I (we are both guys) decided to be in an open relationship la...
Someone hasn't replied to my last message on a dating site for a few days (gasp! What a rare occurrence!). I wonder if it would make sense to apologise for the possibly inappropriate joke I made, or whether there's something else to say that's more likely to be successful.
Situation
My girlfriend and I are in the process of building a house to start a family. We have hired a contractor that will arrange everything from start to finish to deliver a habitable house.
The lot we are building our house on is meant for two semi-detached homes. Our neighbors finished bu...
go with your gut though, if apologizing makes you feel better then it's up to you :)
personally, I've apologized for things in the past, due to some silence in between (a few days), and when the person responded, they were surprised that I even apologized, because they were simply just busy
Maybe, but so far they've always replied within a day and it's been 10 days now, so it seems pretty likely that a reply won't be come. I guess that may just not have seen the message or not be replying for a different reason, but, if it was the joke, apologising seems like the most likely to work
At school, my friend (let's call him Ivan) is quite intelligent. He's in enrichment classes, gets A to A+ grades and is very conscientious.
At the risk of sounding narcissistic, I am objectively one of the best performing students at my school/country (through national test results, etc.) and as...
