@cactus_pardner But why not be kind to both sides? Surely, you can sympathize with someone for having a bad experience without immediately categorizing the other party as unworthy of your understanding, especially before you have enough information to be sure of their motives.

Q: Dating: How to know if she's really interested?

BUP1First a bit of background: I am 48, she is 43. I am separated because my ex had an affair. Emotionally, the marriage has been over for a number of years. The woman that I am dating knows about everything. We have been on four dates. Our first date was a 5 hour dinner where we talked the enti...

Can you find out what they're doing? You can tell them you'd be happy to work with them again, especially since your skills are what they need. — Magicsowon 1 min ago

Just saying: The "Gay Panic Defense" is a "legal defense". Which means that if you are in court for murder, or assault, you can legally say that you panicked because the victim was gay, and use that as a defense. That doesn't mean that this defense will be successful, it's actually extremly unlikely. It's like saying "I thought he would enjoy being stabbed", which is also a legal defense, and also extremly unlikely to succeed. — gnasher729 1 min ago

Vikas KumarHow do I explain better to my colleagues that they should wish me a happy birthday on a different date? This question by me was originally not specific. I edited it accordingly but it wasn't reopened. Now it's closed. I really need an answer there. Could somebody tell what should I do now? Do I ...

Q: Females neighbor's steady boyfriend gets "visits" from other female neighbor

Thorsten S.I am living in an apartment building where the walls are not very thick; you can hear loud noise and if someone above let something fall or tramples. You can also hear if someone goes the stairwell up or down. Now a know a female neighbor who has a steady boyfriend. We have little contact, but I...

You should perhaps note that depending on where you live, a "person in a position of power" may be legally obliged to respond in that way, regardless of your desires. In some countries, it would be very dangerous both for the business and for him personally to ignore that responsibility. That doesn't mean you shouldn't talk to him about it, just be prepared for the possibility that he's unwilling to take that risk. — Harry Johnston 44 secs ago
