Usually my homeless counterparts are guiding lights, but no such luck this time.

I've met enough homeless to fill a "vignettes" file and to empty pockets.

Whether I give willingly or get shuffled, all I ask in return is a story.

Tonight, though, all I had to go by was half a moon and two bright planets.

Shuffle: Tough talk for accosting someone, cutting them in half (figuratively and threateningly speaking), taking their best pieces, and leaving the remains scattered on the ground.

There are several aspects of social interaction in which such a issues of gender identity, stereotyping, and expressing of "views," which can fall into the category of political correctness/incorrectness. Are these appropriate to query and address (on or off topic) on the site?
