Q: What are some advantages and disadvantages of becoming a career criminal?

user27703I am aware of the following pros and cons. I am looking for additional insight from experienced criminals or other individuals on whether pursuing a career of crime is viable. @dhein <3

@ExtrovertedMainMan umm
Good thing Em's here to hammer that

yeah, sorry to all the experienced criminals here who wanted to provide their personal experience :p

We used to have one, I believe... :P

8:06 PM
@Tinkeringbell Wait what?!?!?!?

I'm pretty sure mutiny is a crime, yes? :p

Are you referring to Mith's mutiny events?

Ehh, I'm pretty sure I talked to someone in here once that had been to prison... can't find it anymore though.

Ah

@Tinkeringbell I think I know who you're thinking of. And if it is who I think, they aren't active anymore
But I do remember them saying they were an ex-con

8:12 PM
Ah, yeah. I poked around and found a few messages

welp now I feel silly, I was just trying to joke about someone freely identifying themselves as a career criminal on here ;p
"downvoted because this isn't credible experience, only bad criminals would post all their secrets on the open web"

@EmC huh, this makes me think of a certain popular Twitter account at the moment

Just removed the tag from a family question. You're welcome @EmC

@Rainbacon \o/
@scohe001 hm?

It was a bad impeachment joke. I guess since I don't ever use Twitter, my only thought when hearing/seeing Twitter is the POTUS. Gotta remember other ppl actually use it for other things not politics related lol

ohhh, I see
yeah, my feed is a mix of personal accounts, astro/tech people, and single-topic stuff (like "old pictures of fruit" and "every lot in [city]" - they're nice and non-controversial things to break up the other stuff)

Speaking of POTUS, I have to ask: Do you US people really call your president "leader of the free world"?

>__________>
some people do say that, yep

I'm quite confident that I've never used that term to describe any person

@EmC ... Well, at least it's not all of you

8:36 PM
hahah.. yeahhh

I just learned that my dev team used to do a "Kick-ASCII" award at the end of every year for a dev they thought did an awesome job and I'm not sure if I'm more sad that we don't do that anymore or that the dev who made up that pun retired 4 years ago so I'll never get to meet him :(

I think the obvious answer is the second

I saw that the new blog post was talking about "syntactic sugar" and I was sad to see that it was in a programming context and not an interpersonal communication one :(

@brug you love pizza and.. got a manicure?

But maybe I could take this "software engineering" question and turn it into an IPS one :p

@EmC I love that I found the keyboard shortcut to windows emoji selector

@brug haha, nice

@Γ†lis same
but now that I have this selector it is easy

All right, I should really go to bed now. See you tomorow/Monday people :)
