2:42 AM
@EmC ooh, what sounds are you noticing?

@ElizB mostly bass notes, and more detail in stuff like beatboxing and the chorus parts
also there was some sort of percussion in the second track that I didn't notice at all before, and at first I thought a person was tapping on the window or something :P

oh cool :)

yeah :) maybe in a couple weeks when I get tired of it again I'll see how Phantom sounds, haha

@EmC do tell me which album you listen to :)
i've heard the music so many times

for Phantom? I have the Broadway recording version

2:57 AM
okay good same here. I much prefer that one, with the originals

yeah, I enjoyed watching the movie, but definitely original for just listening

yeah, agreed

2 hours later…
4:50 AM
Good morning/afternoon/evening/I'm too tired to know what time it is

5:09 AM
[looks at clock] ... Are you not on the east coast? You should be in bed! :P
... I should be in bed. G'night! :)

I'm on a plane home from San Francisco. Can't sleep on planes, enjoy your rest!

6:01 AM
oh hi @avazula!

@Rainbacon when you sent this message it was 6:50AM at my place. I was already on my way to work ;)

That sounds awful

hi there :)
wait a minute they have wifi on board of planes now?

Yeah
They've had it for a while, but it's finally gotten to a point of being usable
At least on this airline. I've had pretty bad wifi experiences on other airlines though

wow, I'm impressed
How was your trip? I was your pics on Instagram. You made me envious :p

6:04 AM
The best part is that it's free
It was a busy trip
We had planning across 8 or 10 teams for the next 3 months

darn that's a lot

Yeah, it was very chaotic at times
I'm kind of drained mentally. Fortunately, they are letting us count half of our travel time as work time for the week, so I won't have to do any actual work tomorrow and can rest

oh that's nice. I was actually going to ask you whether you weren't too tired

I had to do a lot of interpersonal interactions, also I haven't had a meal that didn't cause me some amount of anxiety/overstimulation in the last 2 days

:(
I hope you'll get the rest you need

6:10 AM
:/
@avazula yes. Even internet 🥺

@Rainbacon Oof, that sounds bad :( sleep well once you're home!
Also.. good morning from a very full train.
So full it apparently won't go full speed for safety reasons.

@Tinkeringbell oh that's the worst, but I suppose that it's nice that they care about your safety

@Rainbacon I'm safely in a seat! For all I care, let's go :P

:)

Almost there, I think. I might yet catch the next train...

6:26 AM
morning
@Ælis Just for completeness sake: I did see your first comment on my answer and understood exactly what you meant. Only reason I didn't update my answer earlier was because I was exhausted from a stumach flu -.-
Awesome time to get sick, sparking a whole discussion that I can only read afterwards and a meta question that could've been avoided had I just been able to update my answer sooner and flag the comment as "no longer needed" XD

Q: Communicating to a close friend that I don't feel valued or respected at times

user13232774I have a close female friend who I've known for a few years. We've been through thick and thin together, and have always been able to be open and honest in many different situations. For example, she has come to me to share her personal problems (family, relationships, etc.) whenever she needs ad...

@Imus I hope you are better now then? :)

I'm now mostly tired cause I haven't eaten well in a couple of days
but that should improve a lot today
Is my answer better now? Or do did I make it worse? :o
Options I am perfectly fine with but don't know which would be the best one:
1) Leave it as it is now
2) remove the entire section since I have no good way to answer the shyness issue
3) tone it down to just my most likely response and leave other options open
@Ælis Which option do you like most? :)
(feel free to sugest another one if you can think of anything better)

Q: How do I mingle with westerners in office as a south asian in uk

dinesh RI had come to UK to work on contract through software company. I am in uk now for more 2 years but I'm still not able to make much rapport or personal friendship with westerners in office because I don't want to spoil anything by talking unwantedly. All I am doing is just working and maintainin...

@Imus You have two back up in here (movies and real-life). I think you should remove anything that you have only observe in movies and not motion this back up at all (since a lot of movies are also really offensive and disregarding to a lot of people)
-
MSE rant: Sure, use autistic people to say that the new CoC is not welcoming...

@Ælis Erf
Part of the thing is, Its not clear if its a real complaint or...

Still MSE rant: Also, it's nice to see that the question was written by a neurotypical and that the only answer so far (except mine that I just posted because I couldn't stand that) was posted by another neurotypical and is highly upvoted (probably by neurotypical folks using us as an excuse...)

snort
I'm not neurotypical. I'm just differently non neurotypical ;p
And I hear very similar arguements from folks on other things

@Ælis Sounds like it might be time for me to start on the 3rd different autism related post I'm trying to write on this flight
@JourneymanGeek Oh? I didn't know you were non neurotypical. What is your divergence if you don't mind my asking?

7:02 AM
@Rainbacon my dyslexia is no secret ;p

Well, now it's no longer a secret to me either

Though my 'advocacy' so to speak seems to be mostly sharing quality of life tips ;p
like the best fonts!

@Ælis Updated answer again based on your comment. My main issue is that my memory is so bad in general that I'm not sure whether I have experienced things myself, or if I'm mixing up that memory of the experience with things I've seen or heard or just made up completely :s
I think, the way it stands now is truthful enough :)

@Rainbacon I'm a lot less obvious about it than I used to be, and spellcheck is usually a big big equaliser

@JourneymanGeek Sorry to oppose autistic with neurotypical :/ I didn't want to oppose "autistic" with "none autistic" because it implies there is something wrong with being on the spectrum (since there is no word for that, the people that are "none autistic" might as well be call "normal"...)

7:04 AM
@Ælis more that there's a diversity in how people see the world

@Rainbacon I already write on an answer to this question, but feel free to pile on :)

JAD
@Ælis I'm sorry, but I don't recognise what you say in your answer there

and I wouldn't see things as an autistic person would, and how I see folks with it varies so much with my experiences with them

@Ælis Just flag stuff if it needs flagging. If it's that bad, I'll take a look at the queue tonight.

> if only we'd all do small talk, wear fashionable clothes, and work in wide open spaces, we'd somehow reverse white male dominance in tech.
uhmmmm

JAD
7:07 AM
Also, I kinda wonder what makes you so certain both other users in that question are neurotypical?

(Sits in a small room, has no one to talk to, and is in a pair of confy jeans and a Savage industry T shirt) ;p

@JourneymanGeek Where did you get that quote? The trick is clearly to just be yourself and have fun with the guys...

@JAD If they were, wouldn't they have said so?

@Tinkeringbell from the question @Ælis was kvetching about ;p

@JourneymanGeek Ah. Well, I'm going to have one last productive day at work before I peek at that.

7:11 AM
Oh crap, the user just edited the question and [I asked for rollback](https://interpersonal.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/18455) lmao

Because OP [only mentioned](https://interpersonal.stackexchange.com/posts/23180/revisions) "changed title" and it didn't show up more i got confused

JAD
@Ælis why? (Seriously) Isn't that kind of similar to assuming someone on the internet is male?
Would I need to advertise to everybody to say I'm autistic to be able to say anything on the topic and taken seriously?

hello? markdown?

@CaldeiraG Doesn't work for multiline messages

@JAD When you answer a question about autism, you should state if you are part of the community or not. IMO, that's basic etiquette (like backup on IPS)

@Tinkeringbell Ah I see

7:12 AM
Never use linebreaks if you want your chat messages to have markdown :)

JAD
@Tinkeringbell o.O

@Tinkeringbell :) thanks
Morning all btw :D

Morning to you too! :D

JAD
@Ælis Let's just say I disagree and keep it at that. Better not bring MSE's issues into TAS

Oh i know what it was
the OP changed the question on the grace period time
that's why i didn't see any changes, only title

7:13 AM
@Ælis I would interpret this line in the question " note also that there are a disproportionate number of folks on the autistic spectrum in tech, and we are probably more inclined than average to participate in online activities such as Stack Exchange." to mean that the OP is saying they are on the spectrum

@Rainbacon Well, I'm no mind reader and I need to go to work so...

Well, in other frustrating news: Apparently stitches itch a LOT. And you're not allowed to scratch them :/

@JourneymanGeek Just one, btw.

@Tinkeringbell Why did you need stitches?

7:22 AM
I'm making it sound worse then it is again. It's just one stitch.

@Tinkeringbell as a young pup, I basically sat next to my grandad and was like "Granpa? No scratching"
ALLLLLL DAYYYYYYYY

@Rainbacon I had someone take a skin sample yesterday to send to the dermatologist. I had this really itchy spot that didn't go away.
@JourneymanGeek There's a bandaid on top of the stitch now. I also clipped my nails so short it hurt a bit while clipping. I can't even scratch!
goes to find something with a sharp edge

....
dog glare intensifies

Ooh, there's a dog on the plane one row ahead of me

@Rainbacon ACHOOO!

7:29 AM
Sadly it's not @JourneymanGeek

@JourneymanGeek I know I know! I just need a lot of distraction, and I'll survive.
I'll start with coffee

@Tinkeringbell Look at it on the bright side. Even though you'll never get entirely used to the excessive ichiness of that spot (or those stitches), you do get used to ichiness in general a bit more. So things like moderately itchy musquito bites will mean nothing to you in the future (speaking from experience with anually returning ichy spots that docter's cant identify exactly -.-)

Uh oh, they just called for medical attention for someone on my flight

@Imus Ehhh... Mosquito bites itch a lot here too... I'm not really getting used to it, it seems.
@Rainbacon Oh no.... :/

@Tinkeringbell it takes more than a few days :p

7:33 AM
@Imus How 'bout 2 years? I've had the spot for that long.

JAD
That's like saying, "Don't worry, the pain will eventually leave you as a numb shell unable to feel anything else, score!"

then you don't know what really itchy spots are :p You're complaining about musquito bite itchiness as if it's bad :p
Mostly joking ofcourse ^^,
I don't know how bad your body reacts to musquitos so it might be real problem

@Imus It does... But I react badly to a lot of stuff, including most forms of soap and perfumed products...

@Tinkeringbell something warm might help

@Tinkeringbell I do better with over 10 years of experience :D At least mine do go away now with a specific ointment

7:37 AM
@Imus I've had forms of eczema since I was a baby. It was slightly better when in my teens, but now that I'm a grown-up, it seems to be getting worse again...

@Tinkeringbell Aight, I can't one-up that :p
congratulations. You won an argument on the internet! As a price you're still stuck with your itchy spots ...
:p

XD
I think I'd rather lose arguments then!

@Rainbacon :\

It seems like perhaps everything is ok because we aren't being rerouted for an emergency landing

There's plenty of stuff that could require medical attention but not emergency landings ;) At least that means you'll be home on time!

7:49 AM
Yeah, it's a little selfish that my primary concern is getting home on time, but it's almost 4am in my home time zone so I get to be selfish

@Rainbacon I know the feeling. I've had a few people on trains causing delays due to medical problems, at least once I was 99 percent sure this person was just faking it because the train was very full and they wanted a seat ('cause as soon as they had a seat, they suddenly felt much better).

JAD
@Tinkeringbell :o never seen that before

@Tinkeringbell The worst was when my train hit someone. That person was definitely not ok

I even felt irritated once I figured out a train I took regularly was always late at the end station because somewhere along the route they had to load/unload someone in an electric wheelchair... But that was more because I felt the schedule should take that into account, so it wouldn't give you the impression you could get your next train.
@Rainbacon Ah yes, I've luckily never been in one that had that happen. Heard the horror stories though...
@JAD At least twice, maybe thrice. One was where the train personnel had to assist someone on the platform until the ambulance came, the other was this guy that claimed to be feeling very unwell but didn't want to leave the train to wait for paramedis, and suddenly stopped complaining once seated.
There's a vague memory of there being a third I can't remember the details off, because it didn't cause much delay...

@Tinkeringbell Yeah, that was a really bad commute

7:55 AM
@Rainbacon Yeah, I can imagine...

@Rainbacon ..... Ow

JAD
@Tinkeringbell Former is hard to be mad about, especially on smaller stations where there wouldn't be any personnel other than the train's.
Idk, I approach trains with a "we'll get there when we get there" mentality. Getting all worked up from delays doesn't help a bit in getting to the destination sooner

good morning! how is everyone

I'm tired

@AlexRobinson Morning o/

8:03 AM
Also hello

bot come on

Yay! We're about to land. See you all later.

@Rainbacon enjoy your rest!

8:32 AM
Oof, that was a rough landing
But we're early which means I should get to snuggle with Mrs bacon for a bit before she goes to work

A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great landing is one where you can reuse the plane too

Q: How to neutralise the behaviour of gym rats in the gym?

Sam BI participate in group activities at the local gym, I'm new there (about three month) however all other people have been a member since a year ago, I can tell there is a special bond between the people. I'm not shy or antisocial, I've managed to maintain a very productive and positive relations...

A senior colleague is dictating me how to do stuff I have quite a bit of experience in and he has only read about again... Just till the end of next week... I can do this...

Yeah for mansplaining...

He also told me parsing XML is difficult in JavaScript. WUT. Wasn't JavaScript originally made to parse HTML, which is XML?
Sorry, needed to vent :)

@Belle Are you sure you are actually talking to a human? Looks more like a dinosaur to me...
@Belle Don't apolozige, I really need a distraction...

@Ælis We've been having an issue with people checking in files with incorrect encodings, creating bugs. I suggested rejecting all pull requests with incorrect encodings automatically. He believed rejecting incorrect files is too harsh... I don't know anymore!
One more week...

9:47 AM
@Belle People will make you doubt anything. Lately they have been trying to convince me that I am not a human being but a carpet. I am this close to believe them (I'm in a really bad mood today, let me know if I'm too dark).

@Ælis I know that feel. I am so fed up with everyone doubting everything I say, I'm constantly doubting myself.
I've let people treat me as a doormat. I am not a doormat. You are not a carpet. We are not any less of an engineer because we are not a man.

Sound like a good time to drop kitten in here. Just to try to cheer the room up (it doesn't really cheer me up today but, if it can help someone else)

Kittens <3

@Belle :/ <3 (ps: my issue is more that people don't treat me as a human being who deserve respect. Since I'm trans, they act like it's okay to just ignore and dismiss my feelings...)

@Ælis Oh, that's an entirely different can of worms :\ I hate it when people do that. Especially the subtle comments. This CoC thing mustn't be easy.
Just know that you are a human being who deserves respect, even if they do not give you it. Them not giving you any has nothing to do with you, even if they make you feel that way. It has everything to do with them; if they can't handle you the way you are, that is their problem. Not yours.

JAD
10:03 AM
@Belle I'm not sure if they were talking about SE or work

@JAD I'm not out at work, so CoC...
@Belle <3

@Ælis If you didn't live so far away, I'd drag you over and force you to drink wine with me and eat chocolate. With your permission of course ;)
Or eat pizza... Pizza is great. Pizza doesn't judge.

@Belle <3
Chocolat and pizza sound good (except I don't have any appetite lately but I usually do like pizza and chocolate :) )

11:03 AM
aw :)

@JourneymanGeek are you around ^^' ?

Vaguely

I am really curious about the context of this comment reply to me. who made that and why ? meta.stackexchange.com/questions/335774/…
Sorry if busy.

I think they just mean the whole lot of folks who ask or question on meta

I can read the comment though in inbox cache.. post is not visible
was it a third person ?
maybe I am uselessly paying attention to it.. ignore it!

11:27 AM
Good idea

11:45 AM
Good morning 🌞

Good afternoon ;)

good afternoon all

12:07 PM
Actually it's a really bad one... I haven't done one line of programming yet as someone broke the development environment :/

i'm sorry to hear that :/

It's okay. More time to chat :P

that sure is true! i'm about to finish my lunch break and get back to processing invoices but i'll probably still be lurking around in here

12:42 PM
MSE keeps making me sad. I wish I had the self-restraint to stay away.

MSE? maths stack exchange?

The two colleagues who are also in the same room as me are typing in bursts (like in chat, not programming) and constantly giggling. I'm feeling so insecure because of it. Should I say something about it?

JAD
Meta*

maths makes people cry but meta does make a lot more sense lol
@Belle personally, if its just the three of you i'd potentially ask what its about - but i suspect its some stupid in joke or equivalent

Oh I like math. Numbers don't make personal attacks like people do.

12:57 PM
@AlexRobinson It's probably not even related to me. I feel like I'm going crazy.

@brug I could suspend you :P
Technically I still have powers...

i have never personally experienced hostility on MSE, can't it be reported or am I just being optimistic

@AlexRobinson It's bad right now.
I stayed away for the past few weeks, but I peeked today. Trust me when I say things are f-ed up.

@AlexRobinson I've seen some in the last few days. It gets removed reasonably fast, but people still get to see it. And then there's the microaggressions. Those are hardly reportable, but still hurt.

And since it's apparently hurting people here, I'll try and see what I can do for them tonight.

1:08 PM
ah i see
did... did you just tag the bot

yes.. I replied to the bot.. so that people know that what I am talking about

ahhhhh

in case you're new, hi! and let me show you another trick..

I was thinking about proposing a title change to gym bunnies. sure sounds much nicer
what does that command do / mean exactly @ankii

ROs are going to be angry now for the chatbot's chat. ;p

1:20 PM
RO's? room organisers?

almost .. Owners is a big term, no?

@Tinkeringbell I think you were joking but that actually sounds like a good idea right now.

@AlexRobinson to tell us why it dropped in or caught the comment.. more in the chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/63296/the-closet

@brug Yeah, I was joking. I'm not supposed to do that, sorry :)

oh wow thats pretty neat

1:23 PM
Hey @Tinkeringbell ! could I quickly get some respect OP's intent meta discussion appropriate on the Gym question..? it needs some workout.

"... gym question... workout " :)

@ExtrovertedMainMan I flagged things here and wanted to post about respect OP's intent in the question.
Cannot find appropriate post on meta
Would frame challenge work?

oh I landed here.. thought it was case specific.

1:28 PM
I'd avoid 'frame challenge'. RPG has a good thread on why: rpg.meta.stackexchange.com/q/7560/42432

Oh that sure is a good thread!

"This is just a tiny drop in a large ocean, but:

As a cis-gendered person, I'm not removing my pronouns from my profile. I encourage other cis-gendered folks who feel comfortable doing so to also include pronouns, to prevent it from being an easy way to single out transgendered and non-binary folks."- LindaJeanne - https://meta.stackexchange.com/users/246538/lindajeanne (I won't link directly to the answer, but you can find it on her profile if you like)

i started reading through the main thread you mentioned and honestly it makes me feel sad. i'm used to being in very inclusive and supportive communities :/

@Tinkeringbell yeah I get that. It also wouldn't actually keep me from reading the stuff. I've already stopped posting.

1:49 PM
@Belle I'm wondering though... I remember seeing a Tweet about someone who found it easier if not everyone had pronouns displayed, because there's people out there who don't want to e.g. wear their pronouns on their chest at a conference (either not out of the closet, or not sure, or something like that)... Was that a true sentiment that's still valid?
(Not specifically a question for you but... maybe someone knows the answer here...)

Accurate for me on Twitter, at least.

personally, i'd only feel comfortable putting my pronouns anywhere on the internet if i know others are. I don't wanna be seen as special for doing something like that - just wanna be me

@user58 Yes but... when reading it I got a sentiment that was something like 'it's also nice if not every cis person does the pronoun disclosure thing, because otherwise we can still be singled out easily'... I don't know if that was correct though.
@AlexRobinson Well, welcome to the room, you :)

thank you! i was lurking around yesterday due to personal involvement with one of the meta questions but i definitely count as new here

@AlexRobinson Which is good! Sites need new people every once in a while, or they get boring ;) Also... you did a good edit, but I also agree a bit with Ælis' on the meta: people shouldn't have to read questions to understand edits to answers, so put that info in your revision comment next time and it's even better! :D

1:58 PM
noted! I really like IPS even though I haven't managed to answer anything yet lol

Answering is hard. Especially as we're pretty strict on the backup. I still have an academic-research question unanswered though ;)
I can understand answering here is not for everyone, it requires a certain comfort with disclosing stuff some people might find too private for the internet.

omg my code works

For sure, but with a site like this, having a high answering standard is probably the only thing preventing a "spam" of low quality / opinionated answers

sorry to interrupt
I'm just so happy lol

@avazula That's the best feeling! :D grats!

2:00 PM
:D

@AlexRobinson Woah! A new user that actually understands! :P Now we're never letting you go, you know that, right? :P
@avazula Happy is good these days! :D I'm still itching.

@Tinkeringbell Quickly! Tie him to a chair before he escapes!

you see, right there, you have just assumed me to be male. @Belle may i ask why

I was kinda thinking of locking Alex in the Closet ;)

@AlexRobinson I assumed Alex to be a male name. Did I use the wrong pronoun?

2:03 PM
(Alex is a really male name in Dutch, probably)

JAD
@Tinkeringbell I know at least one female Dutch Alex

@JAD Cool, that's 1 more than me! :P

Don't need more ruffians bein' locked in mah Closet! Keep 'em yerself!

ah. in my country its either, but more specifcally i was trying to underline the new CoC changes - use they when not known. I did post yesterday that i use they/them but i entirely understand that things get lost in chatrooms lol

JAD
@Tinkeringbell I think these kinds of questions are kinda problematic. Howmany people have to feel that way for it to be a "valid sentiment"?
@Tinkeringbell fair enough, it's short for Alexandra, but she goes by Alex

2:06 PM
@AlexRobinson Ah, noted.

thank you :)

In the USA, "Alex" is indeed both a male name (short for Alexander) and a female name (short for Alexandra).

Yeah, that's... why I dropped it in this chat :P The people here usually provide valuable input on such matters, so perhaps it's more like 'how many people in here feel like that's a not so wrong train of thought'.

Because I usually value slightly known people over total strangers when it comes to this (and the Tweet I saw was definitely some retweet thus total stranger)

@JAD Oh that makes sense! I only know male Alexes. Aleci?

valuing known people makes sense. can't trust every rando that pops into here

JAD
2:07 PM
@Belle Aleces?

@El'endiaStarman And neither, as just "Alex".

@Tinkeringbell oh no :( love and cookies to you!

@AlexRobinson I'm a bit confused about this point, actually. I assumed, which was wrong of me, as I tend to use "they" as a default. But, the bit I'm confused about: I thought the CoC also allows "he" as a default, or "she", as long as you use it consistently?

JAD
@Belle Given that SE considers Bob a gender-neutral name, I'm not sure anymore

> Prefer gender-neutral language when uncertain.
Can of worms: is "he" gender neutral? Open at your own risk.

2:15 PM
why would "he" be a default? its not gender neutral and i whilst i know poeple like to joke that the itnernet is entirely male, it very evidently is not

You best default to they. Some people are very uncomfortable being addressed as they. If they let you know, show an effort to use what you're being told to use.

Which can be amazingly hard, because the SE system doesn't really help you here. Someone made an userscript, but it only works if people put their pronouns in their profiles.

@AlexRobinson English has a long history of "he" being the default for an unknown or unspecified person.

JAD
@Tinkeringbell and it only works if you're willing to install the userscript. And somehow I don't think those are the people that have trouble adapting

i feel that speaks more about general sexism in english speaking countries than anything else tbh

JAD
Sexism -> culture -> language
it's hard to see those two apart from eachother

2:17 PM
that is a fair point. However, just because the culture has been one way doesn't mean it can't be another way

JAD
@AlexRobinson true that, but realise that it won't change overnight

oh yeah for sure. i know i can be idealistic but i'm not naive

JAD
similarly, I believe that in french, a group of nouns is only ever feminine gramatically if each and every member noun is feminine
one masculine noun, and the group is masculine

yes! thats right. i used to study french - as a native english speaker it does feel bizzaire

Anyhow, I think the conversation between Alex and Belle went exactly as it should ;)
Someone made a wrong assumption, was corrected and promised to do better. If we can just stick to that, we're fine!

assume good intent. one of the most important rules across SE

JAD
Sadly no longer codified in the CoC :/

just because it isn't there doesn't mean we can't use it and make IPS a better place

@AlexRobinson Yes! Though also one of the hardest... as a mod, the question of 'should I stop assuming good intent here' has often crossed my mind...

i feel that. i used to moderate a large mental health discord server and there are tough calls to make

Oof, a mental health one? :/ That sounds even harder than IPS!

2:28 PM
it was very interesting to say the least :) people like to be heard and things get out of proportion and guilt trippy and all sorts...

JAD
I'd expect that to be hard enough even with everybody having good intent
Let alone with a few trolls among them

trolls weren't the largest issue - they stick out like a sore thumb and banning them is the end of it.

Well, I made it home and got ~5 hours of sleep

5 hours is fiiine as long as you have caffeine

@AlexRobinson No, that's 7. 5 really needs a nap

2:35 PM
7 hours is the most i can sleep during working days :)

Yeah, I also say Bob is considered gender-neutral by SE, I'm confused
Anyways
how are we this afternoon? :)

this afternoon is pretty decent! how about you?

pretty good :)

3:00 PM
I'm freeeeee!
Going home, finally!

3:29 PM
@Tinkeringbell I've heard home is where the heart is. You've been in TAS all day, haven't you already been home?<3

Different kind of home! The one I'm going to now has dinner ;)

Psh we have dinner on SE. Don't you see all the ppl on Meta getting eaten alive? :p

I'll see if there's some left for me.

Don't eat me, I don't taste good

@user58 huh, my pig says the same thing.
I think his plan is that "you wouldn't eat something that's been on the ground"

AAAAAW

@user58 Really? :(
Have you gone bad?

I'm afraid I'm rather spoiled

Ah, yeah, that'll do it ;)

@Ælis fyi I believe they're now "Stack Overflow Inc" (I've seen ppl in meta posts calling htem SOI): stackoverflow.com/company

@scohe001 I know. But people are still using Stack Exchange Inc

3:51 PM
both are legal names of the company

I sure use them interchangibly

Holy Moly @user58 I just saw you are resigning as a mod (haven't read the post yet). Have all my love and support <3 <3 <3 I must say, I'm a little heart breaking to learn that, but you have to do what is best for you.

Yeah... I'm really sorry I didn't pick up on the crap earlier... Now I feel even more guilty :(
Hope you'll be back one day, and that you'll still be chatting here? :D

4:08 PM
In all likelihood, I won't disappear entirely. So yes, I will probably still be chatting here. ;)

That makes me slightly happier about all this :) Fingers crossed then!
Alsoo... it's kinda annoying that the internet on this train works pretty good for chat, but not good enough to keep up a stable connection to my dev server so I can work :/
I wanted to try and fix some stuff :(

5:01 PM
@Ælis my advanced computer models predict that if you continue at the current rate, you'll pass up your IPS rep next month. Slow down!! :p

@scohe001 Ahah XD
I love it <3
"My answer has been deleted by a staff member. I don't think they read it carefully." -> At some point, people should stop using the same excuse again and again and again. It just doesn't work

5:21 PM

2 hours later…
6:54 PM
Shinigami Eyes need to be compatible with SE

Send 'em a feature request?
I don't think the devs hang around here, so... :P

I mostly posted that for you
I assumed you would appreciate it.

I actually only heard about it a couple weeks ago - through SE, incidentally - but it's been very useful

@brug I mean...that's one way to win an argument on the internet :P

It is a very useful tool. If a bit limitted.
It's a browser extension

6:58 PM
Yeah... it lacks nuance

Oh
And here I thought it was an anime reference
Which I guess the browser extension is, but that's not what you were going for

It was named after the reference you are thinking

It is, just indirectly ;)

><
There are a lot of names I want to make red
