Does anyone know where to find a recording of the White Dwarf movie (or pilot)? I've searched with no avail, the closest I got was a deleted recording on youtube.
In The Avengers, it is shown that, the scepter that Loki uses is given by someone who planned the Chitauri attack on Earth[Thanos]. Later, in the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ultron extracts the mind stone from the scepter and puts it in what later becomes vision. In the meantime, we get to...
This was a novella length book I read maybe forty years ago. It might have been an Ace double but I'm not 100%,
There was a Earth military intelligence officer based on another planet and (I don't remember how it happened) he wakes and heads to the base from his quarters. Alarms sound at the sen...
In movie Interstellar we see that in Earth's future, a global crop blight and second Dust Bowl are slowly rendering the planet uninhabitable.
However, current projections are the scarcity of oil, pollution of air, global warming etc, Based on this I'd end world using untimely rains, raise of s...
Like District 1 and District 2 citizens I understand the other districts can't because during the dark wars the Capitol thinks those districts were the rebels and yes even district 1 and 2 had rebels but would those of district 1 and 2 who the Capitol citizens or particularly snow knows quite wel...
The movie was about a girl who seemed normal, she had a brother (I think they were twins but not sure). She gets sick or is injured and taken to the hospital. They take blood from her and it turns out to be blue.
Eventually, it is revealed that she is an alien princess and was brought to Earth ...
I understand the other districts can't, because during the dark wars the Capitol thinks those districts were the rebels (and yes, even Districts 1 and 2 had rebels). But would citizens of District 1 and 2, who the Capitol citizens or particularly Snow knows quite well, be not allowed to move to t...
Spoiler Alert
So, I just watched the Star Trek: Discovery episode "Perpetual Infinity" (S02E11). Control is a pure mechanical AI. But I had a suspicion.
When Control took over Leland's body, the scene seemed to be very reminiscent of Borg. Struggling is pointless... Resistance is futile... eve...
In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) (Alt-Universe Cut), Ganke and Miles steal the Spider-Man movie and watch it. In a scene where Spider-Man finger got stuck to a gear rod of Maserati:
Gluck: So how did you get your hand off the gearshift of your
Maserati?
Spider-Man: I don't d...
At the end of Star Trek: Discovery 2x11 ("Perpetual Infinity"), it becomes clear that
is somehow linked to the time she operates from. (Why that should be the case entirely escapes me, but this is not the topic of this question.)
As a consequence, it is expected that
Before this happens, t...
Looking for a short story about a man who is investigating a spate of shoplifting in a small town. The local business people are close to panic as merchandise seems to vanish without a clue.
Eventually the investigator catches the perpetrator who turns out to be a disturbed young woman. We find ...
Looking for a book I have read something like twenty years ago.
There is a man who has hypnosis abilities uses his abilities who robs people using his abilities through phone calls.
The story was published in the mid 1960s, around 1967-68 in ANALOG or The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. I delivered both subscriptions to a young guy in Belfast when I was a paper boy and he would pass me his read copies when I delivered the new ones.
The character is bio-engineered,...
Suppose it is 1996 and I want to know what the "Kessel run" (mentioned in "A new hope") is, and what does it mean that Han Solo did it in 12 parsecs. Of course, we now know much more about it thanks to the "Ultimate Star Wars" and, of course, the "Solo" movie.
Essentially, I want to know how muc...
At the climax, Avatar Aang picks up a fight with the Fire lord (could be, Phoenix king) Ozai. In the midst of that, he accidentally hits his back (a wound from last confrontation from Azula at the Earth realm), he will get the past memories of all avatars in a row and he connects with cosmic avat...
@Jenayah There's a system that automatically turns certain really short answers into comments. I know for sure that it does it for answers that link to the question that it's on; it might do it for "possible duplicate" answers as well.
Okay, so, this has been controversial. If anyone here agrees that movie-ID questions shouldn't be dupes of novel-ID questions, only one reopen vote is needed, just saying.
While answers don't always make a duplicate, they can give us a good idea. (Further reading)
It is because the answer given to the question yours was marked a duplicate of effectively answers your question. One answer was almost directly copied and pasted from that question. The answer covers b...
In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) (Alt-Universe Cut), Ganke and Miles steal the Spider-Man DVD Commentary and watch it.
Gluck: We did keep Uncle Ben's death just as it happened, Spidey. It's
the singular motivating incident of your origin story.
Spider-Man: You mean my life.

Very very minor issue, but at some point, a capital "I" went missing in the "info" tab below, whereas all the other tabs are capitalized. Happens on the 4-5 sites I've tested, likely on all others. It has apparently been so since at least March 5th.
It used to be capitalized, per this Arch...
This question was closed as a duplicate of this question. The reason stated was that the the answers to the latter question address the former question as well. The problem is that the two questions are different. The content of the answers to the second question that addressed the first question...
@Jenayah weird, when trying to find a newer Archive capture to see how recent the tag problem was, the newest one on story-identification is also January 5th like the one in your Meta
Back when @Alex was becoming active on SFF, and kicking hornets' nests with Meta about dupe-closures, and posting four self-answers to that one ahahaha
There's a plot (currently farming paperclips, so I don't exactly know what is going on, but apparently there are a bunch of stages and you go to space or something)
The only canon reference to speed that I’ve been able to derive comes from the Saiyajin series.
The snake way has 1 million kilometres and it takes Goku between 1 day and 4 hours and 2 days to complete his way back. That will give us a sustainable speed of, at minimum, 5km per second, with his s...
I was always wondering how large are timeless halls in the Lord of the Rings verse? Are they essentially infinite? How big are they comparing to the Void?
It was sometime between 2007-2014 I saw this (colored) film, and I only remember very few details.
It was about a young guy (between 15-25), who went into a cave. Inside, there was a shape of a hand craved into the wall of the cave. He put his hand there, and that made him travel back in time.

Definitely published no later than 1974, set in the future on Earth.
I only remember the final scene. A man visits his ex-wife, an official state-registered prostitute whom anyone can legally use. I remember a sentence, "you would never have guessed she was thirty".
After seeing her he's trappe...
It starts with a woman who has hallucinations, and runs into an alleyway where she finds a body that looks just like hers that has been murdered. Later on, she finds a beautiful man who says he's from another parallel universe and seems think he's connected with Arthurian legends, i.e. he talks ...
